Colliwobblers

Another huge week, well done. SPP to Warner solid trade.

Mat0369

Absolutely nailed the captain and you still have some great cash gen.

Warner is a pretty solid trade, do you think it might be worth offloading Bice this week as well with his BE?

Ringo

Looked at trading Bice but not many options to upgrade to $431k so would be a cash grab.  Will wait for teams and see if Carroll retains selection, Eye on Flyn as well as may have to make a move there,

Thoughts on this trade very early but with DPP a lot more flexibility as well.  Happy for him to sit at M11 and provide loophole if dropped,
Tsatas who really appears out of favour down to Archer Day wicks,  Leaves me with $175k cash to assist with next weeks trades"
Carroll to Boxshall and then hopefully enough cash to go Flynn to Jackson at Flex.

Times like this makes you realise should have kept a boost,

Will leave me 21 trades with 3 mid rookies to remove from field and then 1 defender although happy with Reid at D6. Looking at Brayshaw and Cripps as mid upgrades,

Should leave me with 10/12 trades for injuries etc,

This is my team with the Day-Wicks trade done for Rd 9

Happy with it and benches taking shape as well and hopefully after next week only the one non player.

Mat0369

I'd go early on Boxshall over Day-Wicks who could be dropped pretty quickly

Scrap above as no loophole available so have reversed the Tsatas to Day wicks trade.  Future trading plans the same though.

Change of plans worked out I could go Carrol to Brock and have $138k in cash so happy |

So Tsatas only red dot so Gawn into Neale for VC loophole.

Rd 9 Results:

Rd 9 Score 2,405
Rd 9 Rank 18.215
Overall Rank 3,610(down 585)
Cash $138,000

Trades
Powell-Pepper to Warner
Carroll to Brock

Rd 9 Team

Good: Sheezel, Zorko, Holmes, Reid, Serong, Gawn, Xerri, Smith, Horne-Francis, Petracca, Warner,
Average: Brock, Bontempelli, Ashcroft, Lindsay, El-Hawali, Flynn
Bad:Roberts, Bice, Daicos, Merrett, Neale, Gross, Sims, Macrae
Ugly: Trainor, Hustwaite, Daniel, Hewett, Kako

A very underwhelming performance from some premiums.

What to do this week and very up in the air at the moment.  Need to get rookies off the field.
Daniel seems to be cooked but will probably score big if I trade.
Need to watch teams but thinking Tsatas. Trainor and Kako are downgrade targets to who is the question.  Boxshall did not inspire this week but an option if selected.
Option 1
Trainor to Boxshall via El-Hawli
Daniel to Rozee (Ashcroft forward) Leaves $207k cash Rozee with DPP Rd 11
Option 2
Trainor to Bews
Bice to Sinclair
Option 3
Kako to Day Wicks early
Daniel to Rozee

A lot of rookies still have achievable break evens so waiting for teams as well

Any other suggestions welcome.

arbel

This was not a good week for rookies with most getting cooked or vested. You're right though not a lot coming through to inspire. Depending or Darcy injury, McDonald might come back and has I think the lowest BE in the game. Boxshall should get chances so could be an okay pick.

Ringo

Will wait for final teams tomorrow for final assessment may not trde a downgrade options not the best and do not want too much deadwood on bench.

Mat0369

I'm thinking El-Hawli might be good for coverage as well but he also looks like a potential starting sub looking at the benches. Boxshall on an extended bench sucks, same with Gross and Hall. Hustwaite and Tsatas are also issues, not having TDK is a bit of a godsend for you.

Think this year with the flex position may be the year where benches are not as strong,

After a bit of playing around and depending on teams this is the trade I am considering:
Trainor to Sinclair and Kako to Day Wicks. Will give me Hewett, Kako and Day Wicks as Mid DPP for options. Leaving Hewett in forwards this week as best cover for JHF.

Leaves this team

Ashcroft, Lindsay and Flynn the rookies to upgrade so reasonably comfortable where I sit.  Reckon I need 9 trades to get all rookies off the field leaving 10 trades for emergencies etc.

Another reasonable round which could have been better.

Rd 10 Results

Rd 10 Score 2,345
Rd 10 Rank 12,311
Overall Rank 3,216(up 394)
Cash $4,600

Trades
Trainor to Sincair
Tsatas to Day Wicks (Changed Kako to Tsatas as he was playing and maybe cash gain)

Rd 10 Team

Good: Zorko, Bontempelli, Neale, Sinclair, Serong, Gawn, Xerri, Smith, Petracca, Warner, Daniel, Flynn
Average: Roberts, Reid, Daicos,  Ashcroft, Lindsay,
Bad:Sheezel, Holmes, Brock. El-Hawli, Gross, Sims, Macrae, Hewett
Ugly: Bice, Merrett, Kako, Horne-Francis, Day Wicks

Living for the day when all lines gel. This week defence let me down,"

Trades this week
Tsatas/Hewett to Simpson
Then wait on injury reports on Macrae and Horne Francis  but not looking good and may have to carry one of them for an extra week.

With byes aiming for no more than 5 prems out in each round
Currently
Rd 12 Sheezel, Bontempelli, Xerri, Horne Francis, Daniel
Rd 13 Sinclair, Serong, Macrae
Rd 14 Roberts, Daicos, Warner
Rd 15 Gawn, Petracca
Rd 16 Zorko, Holmes, Reid, Merrett, Neale, Smith

Looking at the above prems to target/consider during byes (some obviously after their early bye),
Anderson, Miller, Dawson, Rankine, Taranto, Heeney, Laird, Josh Daicos, Rozee, Butters, Davies Unicke. Dale, Clark, Ryan, Luke Jackson

arbel

What's the injury to Macrae? I didn't see anything about that? Good score for the week. Think def need to target Rankine, Miller and Rozee out of that list. Rozee chance to get DPP but not sure how close he is?

Ringo

Rozee after Rd 12 bye. 100% certain of DPP from what I have read. (Rozee 57% Def, 39% Mid 4% Fwd) If JHF out longer than 3 weeks may trade him to Rozee,

These are initial injury reports I have seen.

Scans have confirmed a minor shoulder dislocation for Finn Callaghan. A return to play timeline will be confirmed tomorrow following consultation with the club medical team. At this stage it is not deemed to be long term.

Macrae being sent for scans on a potential back injury

Lindsay sent to hospital after today's game as well (Keeping an eye on this one as may change trades)

Mat0369

Macrae has the punctured lung which will have him out for a month. JHF is also a month. It's a bit of chaos but I am inclined to hold Macrae out of the two with the Saints bye being a good one. Sinclair in was a master stroke.
