Coaches Award: Mason Wood. His previous best average was 82 off 8 games in 2016. His next highest was 71 off 19 games last year.

He has averaged 93 off 20 games in 2023. 11th year breakout, crucial to the stability of that Rio midfield.

Coaches Award for Kate has to go to none other than Harry Sheezel, first year player averaging almost 100, with 12 scores of 100+ (including Rd1 where I didn't name him whoops), phenomenal effort! He also delivered where it mattered in the last 3 rounds with scores of 103, 126, and 114 to secure Kate a spot in finals.

We love Hairy Cheezels.
The Best and Fairest for 2023 goes to Chadley Warner, comfortably ahead of Harry Sheezel in 2nd and Toby Nankervis in 3rd. After a big jump in 2022, Chadley increased his average slightly again this year to a tick over a 100avg, providing as a reliable captain option most weeks.

And can confirm that Tim Taranto is now the Rio BnF for 2023 :) Stellar first half of the season set up Rio's run to the top 4
