Hey all :)

TRADE SEASON IS FINISHED

Trade rules:

- You can't go go go go go submit a list lodgement where your total salary is below the minimum cap. If you do, you will lose your first round draft pick in 2023, and also 4 premiership points for the 2023 season.
- You can go over the maximum cap, provided you cut it down in your list lodgment
- Trades can be any combination of players and picks
- You can trade priority picks, picks in the first 5 rounds of the International draft and in the first 4 rounds of the Pre-Season draft, AND the first 5 rounds of the International draft next year
- Available list spots will be worth 100k each in your cap
- You can't trade a currently retired player.
- You can trade draft picks (unrestricted) until a day out from final AFL list lodgments (date is still being decided)

Start date: Monday 22 August 10:00:00 am AEDST

Finish date (players): Sunday 27 November at 6.00pm AEDST

Live pick trading (picks): Between commencement of the international draft and its closure

In appropriate intervals, I will put trades up for a vote.

List trades as:

Team X trades: Player Y + Pick Z
Team A trades: Player B + Pick C

*then provide reason and/or insight as to why you did the trade*

The other team must then confirm the trade, and also provide a reason and/or insight as to why they did the trade.

Please just list and confirm trades here! All talk should go to this thread:

WXV Trade Confabulation

Trade Voting

Every coach needs to vote, missing 2 votes consecutively will result in A LOSS OF A DRAFT PICK. So have your assistants in order. The first co-coach vote I receive will count, the second co-coach vote I receive will not.

- 0-3 votes is an auto-pass
- 4-5 votes passes the trade with the admin having the power to reject it
- 6-7 votes fails a trade with the admin having the power to pass it
- 8+ votes is an auto-fail.

You have a week to vote! But don't do that. Do it quicker.

I'll also be disclosing/quoting the reasons why you negged the trade (in a rejected trade) to the coaches involved (via PM), but omitting the authors of the negs.

This year, if I'm not satisfied with your reason why you negged the trade, I simply won't count it. If I feel it is out of being petty or the reason just lacks detail, I won't count it. If you feel strongly enough about a trade, the reasons should be apparent enough for you to articulate them into a couple of sentences.

Trade Etiquette
- If a coach trades a player that you inquired about without getting back to you, PM me with a quote of the message, and I will auto-neg it. It is then expected that the coach enter negotiations with an open-mind to the coach it previously didn't get back to, and once resolved, then the trade will be put back on for voting. Come on guys, this isn't hard and I get sick of it happening.
- Complain all you like (except don't) about the decision of a trade, it won't amount to anything. Please note how futile your whining is to me.
- If you have a genuine complaint, please PM me and we'll talk about it.
- FFS, don't complain about a trade decision (publicly). Just don't. Move on. You won't change my mind.

International Draft

Date of draft: At the very earliest, the night of the AFL final list lodgment (sometime late November). It will commence once all WXV list lodgments have been submitted and processed by me.

Who can you draft: All players drafted in AFL National Draft, unclaimed supplemental period players, priority access signings and delisted WXV players.

If you pass in any pick, you get picks in the Pre-Season draft

Pre-Season Draft

Date of draft: Immediately after International Draft

Who can you draft: All players left over from International Draft, players from the AFL preseason draft, players from the AFL Rookie draft, and any other Misc players (Cat B rookies, etc.)

GoLions

Kate trades: Future 5th round pick
Karen trades: Future 5th round pick

Backing Kate to bounce back in 2023, brings more to our rivalry game next year also

RaisyDaisy

New York trade: Will Hoskin-Elliott + Phoenix Spicer
London trade: Zach Guthrie

Just a small depth exchange to kick things off - Zuthrie avg a little more than WHE and is younger, so Spicer fwd to balance it out

The Guthrie's are reunited (and it feels so good)

Ringo to confirm

Holz

Dublin Trade: Pick 20 + Future 2nd Rounder
Church Trade: Brandon Parfitt + Future 2nd Rounder

Reason: need someone that can hopefully fill my emergency and I get some cap that isn't a list clogger. Probably giving up two top 20 picks but getting a 2nd rounder back although i think it will be quite abit later.

Parfitt is good for what he is. Keen to see what the pick can do for us in bigger deals though

Confirmed Needed to add midfield depth as M4 killed me. Spicer as RD said added to balance trade.

Cairo trade: Hugh McCluggage + Jye Caldwell
Seoul trade: Jack Steele + Toby Bedford

I've always said I wouldn't trade Clugga unless it was a really good offer and this one was hard to pass up. There's only a couple of years between the two, and you could argue Hugh's still getting better, but I think Steele very much had a down year by his standards, with two 120 avg seasons in his back pocket, that's a really strong mid captaincy option and I don't like just relying on Stewart (every second time I captain his it ends in disaster lol). Caldwell's a good young player but I'm okay with moving him on for a genuine star of the comp while Bedford cuffs nicely to my boy Nibbler and has showed a bit as a fringe player at the Dees.

JB to confirm.

Confirmed - Needed some more depth after this year and Clarrie can carry the captaincy by himself.

Christchurch trade: Harry Schoenberg + NAT Pick 20

Cairo trade: Brennan Cox

The favourite son returns home to New Zealand!

2 years after regrettably being traded to acquire Lobb, Cox returns home to slot back in alongside Redman & Wilkie, in turn rejuvenating a backline that has lost George Hewett, at the expense of some depth in Schoenberg and a decent pick.

Nige to confirm.

All Australian Brenno's a much-loved figure in Egypt but his secondment has finished, and with the emergence of stars like Ed Richards, Noah Balta and Josh Worrell, there is less of need for his prowess whereas I'm very big on Schoenberg who I think is a value punt to breakout big time next year as a member of the mighty crom (and Karen) midfield. The pick helps also add a solid young player to the mid stocks and balance the trade. Confirmed.

Purple 77

Berlin trade: Steven May + Pick 3
Seoul trade: Matt Rowell, Liam Henry + Pick 30

My key target for this trade period was to get in a player that I can base my midfield around in the long term. Matt Rowell fits this bill, and I'm optimistic he can continue his positive trajectory into the 100s. I consider him an advanced version of Pick 3, except I have a better idea of what I'll get. Steven May is a premo defender, and whilst his loss hurts, I have two other defenders his age and generating a touch under his output, so I can absorb cop his loss. Also keen to take a punt on Henry, whilst Pick 30 bridges the rest of the gap.

JB to confirm.

Confirmed, my defense needs some help so have had to sacrifice Rowell!
