After Saturday night

Buenos Aires have the (home ground) advantage in what is shaping up to be a helluva match! There is a heaps of pressure on Sam Walsh to perform - if he doesn't, the Suns look gone. I think Buenos Aires get up from here!

*runs numbers*

In fact, Buenos Aires really do have the HGA. If all players score their season average, Buenos Aires go from 1461 to 1520 post HGA, defeating the Suns 1465. Pressure ON!

Boy, is this a tense match too! If the remaining players score their season average, PNL will beat Rio by 12 points (HGA included)  :o :o there is plenty of nerves on show in this match, save for a MASSIVE performance from Liam Ryan whom has single handedly given PNL the advantage. Suspect there is a twist and turn left in the match!

Armadillos deny the reigning premiers

Only 1 voter thought Buenos Aires would win!

It wasn't me :P but it would haven't felt right if Buenos Aires went down without a fight. Of course they can still turn it on - it's Buenos Aires! The raw scores were 1515 to 1512, but an impressive HGA of 59 took Buenos Aires to 1574 and it's highest score of the year! This amazing match had 12 centurions - 6 each - but the dillos had an incredible 14 plays score 70+ compared to Mexico City whom had 12. A small difference but it was telling.

For Mexico City, the campaign for back-to-back flags ends here in a blaze of glory. Of the 6 finals played so far, they scored the 2nd highest score and were clearly worthy of a prelim, alas they went down to a better team on day. Farewell Mexico City, and congratulations on another strong year.

Rio outwrestles Ryans Reindeers

Heartbreak for PNL, whom produced its worst score of the season. The rooms are dead silent, absolute heartbreak for a team many thought could steam roll the competition all the way to the flag.

The Jags - battling key absences within the team - defied the odds and put up an OK performance under these circumstances, but will be considering itself extremely lucky to win with 1 centurion - captain Jack Viney.

But for now... farewell PNL, it was a helluva charge in the 2nd half of the year.

Imperial have SLAUGHTERED the minor premiers despite finishing 8th! They had a remarkable 13 players front up and overrun the 7-strong Wolves, but Darcy MacPherson (53.8), Zach Guthrie (66.9) and Jy Farrar (60.5) all posted tons! It is officially the highest score of 2022.

Broncos swarm plucky Capuchins

Brazil will not be taking both of its teams to the prelims, despite the valiant efforts of Wood, Brown and Hobbs. The difference was only 102 SC points, despite having 4 less players than the Broncos.
