2022 Head-to-Heads
(i.e. what if these match-ups occurred every single week?)

Buenos Aires Armadillos (9) v Mexico City Suns (9)
This really is a tale of two halves! Buenos Aires would have won 7 of the first 8 match-ups, but the Suns will have won the past 6 in a row.

Rio de Janeiro Jaguars (5) v PNL Reindeers (13)
The Jags may have finished ahead of the Reindeers, but PNL have certainly had a stronger season points-wise. PNL would have won 8 of the past 9 match-ups... and yet, Rio has beaten the Reindeers in their last actual game in Round 3. A mental edge?

And don't forget reserves!

There are 2 teams (London, Rome) who have made Reserves finals but not the seniors.

You may name an indicative senior team if you wish (or I will), which will be used to determine who will not play in your Reserves side. Obviously, this senior team must consist of players you would be naming if you were playing senior finals.

Mexico City clearly have the edge over the Dillos - outscoring them in the past 6 weeks, beating them in the last 3 encounters, and overall historical dominance of 8-3. Can the Dillos of first half of the season return and upset the in-form Suns?

Considering how good these teams were in 2012-2014... crazy that this will be the first time they meet in finals.

Rio go in this match us heavy underdogs, despite hosting it at Marcana Stadium. But irrespective of PNLs overwhelming good form, and 13-5 record in the 2022 match-ups... Rio did actually play them in one of those 5 weeks, and got the result. Finals plays funny mind games.

For the first time in club history (I assume) the Jaguars name a forward 4 consisting only of left-footed key forwards. This is the club culture and we are finally living it out in a Semi Final. Go get them lads

After Saturday afternoon

Dillos would be reasonably pleased with that start to the game, but they gotta keep it up as the Suns have similarly got off to a good start. Great game in the making this one!

Rio would be absolutely thrilled PNL Captain Zerret failed to re-live his QF heroics, and now find themselves with the advantage! PNL face an uphill battle now, but it's still doable.
