Finals Draw with first named team having HGA
1st Qualifying Final
Hastings Hurricanes v Nottingham Hoods
Hurricanes were undefeated for the home an away season and now enter the finals series as strong favourites. Hoods had a surprise defeat last week consigning them to this match against the top placed team. Really hard to see the Hoods getting over a team with a midfield controlled by Laird, Miller and Brayshaw. Hurricanes should then advance to 1st Preliminary Final.
2nd Qualifying Final
Oxford Lions v Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs
This game should be a relatively close affair with the Lions having the better attack and the hedgehogs the better defence. Both Captains Keays and Neale were a little underwhelming last week and both will be looking to bounce back. Will the Lions keep Keays as Captain for this important clash or will he trust an alternate in Wines or Libba. Little separates both teams but with a large home crowd cheering them on Lions should progress to 2nd preliminary final.
1st Elimination Final
Blackpool Bunnies v Manchester Magic
Little separates these 2 teams so another great game expected. Bunnies upset the Staines last week and scored slightly more than Magic. Both Captains Kelly and Cripps were disappointing and will want to bounce back this week leading their teams to 1st semifinal. Maybe another case of Bunnies home crowd getting their team home and through,
2nd Elimination Final
Staines Steins v Grope Lane Giants
Both these teams have had a roller coaster season with each being in the Top 4 at various times during the season. Injury cost Staines last week and if they can cover this injury this week they should advance through to the second semifinal.

Adjustments for 1st Finals

Hastings Hurricanes - Fritsch replaces Billings +110 plus HGA 54 - Total adjustment 164 Still noit quite enough to avoid first defeat of the season.
Oxford Lions HGA +71
Blackpool Bunnies HGA +80
Staines Steins HGA +64

Final Results
Nottingham Hoods 2333 defeat Hastings Hurricanes 2308
In a surprise result Hoods inflict 1st Defeat of the Hurricanes. Despite a strong performance from Captain Laird they could not get the job down against a very consistent Hoods out fit who had 8 players score between 150 - 200 compared to the Hurricanes 3 enabling the win.
Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs 2224 defeat Oxford Lions 2222
What a game with the Lions desperately urged on by their Home crowd only to fall short, Hedgies were well led by Captain Lachie Neale who really stepped up in the last quarter. Noah Andersen did his best to lift the Lions who were losing the Centre bounces as Chol was clearly outpointed by Blicavs,
Blackpool Bunnies 2376 defeat Manchester Magic 2268
Another close game where the Bunnies were spurred on in the last quarter by their home crowd consigning the Magic to Mad Monday celebrations. Both Captains played strong games but it was the strong performance of Rookie Jai Newcombe that separated the two teams.
Staines Steins 2369 defeated Grope Lane Giants
Giants found it hard to contain the Staines midfield led by Bontempelli, & Mills and well served by Ruckman Max Gawn. Giants Captain Walsh tried hard but lacked the necessary support to curb the Staines midfield.

Giants and Magic can now enjoy Mad Monday whilst Hoods and Hedgies can enjoy a week off,

Peter

Wow, how close were these games.

Bailey Williams (WCE) take a bow!!
