Round 16

Washington's Charge Continues
Washington Senators (1693) defeated Springfield Isotopes (1565)

The Washington train keeps on rolling! It was a balanced effort from the Senators, with only 2 scores below 70 that enabled them to see off the Isotopes who struggled with some low scores including Tom Lynch's injury affected 7 and an OOP Greenwood, but it likely wouldn't have made enough of a difference. Washington stay right in the mix, while Springfield's top 4 hopes take a hit.

Pirates' Dream Not Dead Yet
Los Angeles Kings (1603) defeated by Guadalajara Pirates (1650)

Where's Koop? LA are left hanging again, and it's another loss because of no captaincy bonuses. For Guadalajara it's a massive stroke of luck that they'll gladly take as their slim finals chances remain alive.

Calgary Cruises past Hawaii
Hawaiian Surfers (1638) defeated by Calgary Fireflies (1864)

Calgary are determined to not get gimped for 6th spot, as they emphatically see off Hawaii here with a mammoth score. Anderson and Ainsworth dominated in the forward line, with ample support elsewhere. A handy percentage boost too, just in case things go down to the wire.

First Versus Last
El Paso Pioneers (1577) defeated by Dallas Coyotes (1715)

Expected result here, Dallas cruise to 16-0 while El Paso continue to linger in last, though with a possible knee injury to Nankervis, has this win come at a cost?

Cooked Captaincy Ruins Bermuda
Bermuda Tiger Sharks (1624) defeated by Arizona Scorpions (1723)

It was an unfortunate week for captains in this match, Neale, Dawson and Macrae all below their best this week, but Neale and Dawson in particular, coughing upat least 40 points each that would've been very handy as Arizona had a bit of a down week. With Springfield and Los Angeles also losing it's a missed opportunity in the battle for 4th, and now they've been dragged into the fight for finals positions too.
