Round 13

IMPORTANT NOTE - PLEASE READ

AFL teams will be announcing their teams at 6:20pm AEST on Thursday (Wednesday for Thursday night games)
Sunday teams are confirmed at 5pm AEST on Friday (Saturday for Monday games)

BYE ROUNDS:

Over the three AFL bye rounds we will have 2 rounds of ADT games, the AFL games will be split up to accommodate this like so:

AFL Round 12: WBD V GEEL, ADEL V WCE, GCS V NTH, MELB V SYD, HAW V COLL, FRE V BRL
AFL Round 13: RICH V PTA, ESS V CARL, FRE V HAW, BRL V STK, NTH V GWS, COLL V MELB
AFL Round 14: RICH V CARL, STK V ESS, PTA V SYD, WCE V GEEL, GWS V WBD, GCS V ADEL

ADT Round 12, ADT Round 13

Given that the rounds will be split up over multiple weeks, we WILL be using a partial lockout, please read the rule below.

You are encouraged to name your full team at the start of the round and edit accordingly as teams drop each day. I understand this is not possible for everyone, hence why it would be preferred that people name their full team to begin with.

If you make any edits to your team, please do so in a new 'quote' post.

There is no loopholing allowed in ADT

- For ease of use over the byes you can name eight (8) emergencies.

- In the event a coach either submits an incomplete team or fails to submit a team at all without contacting the admin, they will receive a warning/strike and their submission from last week will be used.

Saturday afternoon PARTIAL LOCKOUT at 4.10pm AEST on June 11th - Freo v Hawks
Saturday night PARTIAL LOCKOUT at 7.25pm AEST on June 11th - THIS IS A LOCKOUT FOR ALL PLAYERS WHO WILL PLAY IN AFL ROUND 13

Round 13

Isotopes Run Out of Forwards
Springfield Isotopes (1745) defeated by Dallas Coyotes (1806)

It was a bold move by Springfield to name 4 emergencies instead of 8, and to include no forwards as well, which has backfired quite a bit with Dusty missing out. Hugh Greenwood's season hit a new low just in time to be subbed on OOP for a juicy 18 points, with fellow "forward" Josh Rachele chipping in for 27, and ruining a good chance to be the team to topple the ladder leaders, who were led by Clayton Oliver's monster 146 backed up by a litany of centurions.

Captaincy Curse at Calgary
Arizona Scorpions (1812) defeat Calgary Fireflies (1627)

Calgary can't catch a break with captaincy as both their captain and deputy missed out, leaving Stewart to take the load by himself, and then failed to fire. It would have made the match closer, but Arizona likely would've walked out winners regardless with a big 1800+ score led by captain Jack Macrae and his 148. The finals race is heating up as a result with teams unable to clinch wins.

Shark Attack Sinks the Pirates
Bermuda Tiger Sharks (1617) defeat Guadalajara Pirates (1404)

Speaking of the finals race, Bermuda get a much needed win as they claw back 4th place going level with Calgary and Springfield. Guadalajara rose last week to keep the flame alive, but have slumped back this week posting a paltry score. However, with Steele coming back shortly, perhaps their fortunes can change?

Too Little Too Late for El Paso
El Paso Pioneers (1555) defeated by Washington Senators (1673)

This had the markings of a demolition as I put in the round 14 scores, but the round 13 players for El Paso were able to make the total more respectable, led by Viney's ridiculous 157. Washington get another win and are right on the cusp of the top 6, but at the cost of Max Gawn who will miss a few crucial weeks.

Kings Wipeout on the Hawaii Surf
Hawaiian Surfers (1462) defeat Los Angeles Kings (1456)

Boy oh Boy, with no team posted and as far as I can tell no mention of it from the coach, LA cop a score with no C or VC bonuses. Which as luck would have it, was just enough to give Hawaii a win on HGA! Brayshaw deposited 141 and Docherty chipped in with 129, but a slew of sub 60 scores brought the total down big time and in striking distance for Hawaii, who in spite of their own scoring issues eeked out just enough to snatch the W by a mere 6 points, and gets them back into 9th place.
