Round 12

IMPORTANT NOTE - PLEASE READ

AFL teams will be announcing their teams at 6:20pm AEST on Thursday (Wednesday for Thursday night games)
Sunday teams are confirmed at 5pm AEST on Friday (Saturday for Monday games)

BYE ROUNDS:

Over the three AFL bye rounds we will have 2 rounds of ADT games, the AFL games will be split up to accommodate this like so:

AFL Round 12: WBD V GEEL, ADEL V WCE, GCS V NTH, MELB V SYD, HAW V COLL, FRE V BRL
AFL Round 13: RICH V PTA, ESS V CARL, FRE V HAW, BRL V STK, NTH V GWS, COLL V MELB
AFL Round 14: RICH V CARL, STK V ESS, PTA V SYD, WCE V GEEL, GWS V WBD, GCS V ADEL

ADT Round 12, ADT Round 13

Given that the rounds will be split up over multiple weeks, we WILL be using a partial lockout, please read the rule below.

You are encouraged to name your full team at the start of the round and edit accordingly as teams drop each day. I understand this is not possible for everyone, hence why it would be preferred that people name their full team to begin with.

If you make any edits to your team, please do so in a new 'quote' post.

There is no loopholing allowed in ADT

- For ease of use over the byes you can name eight (8) emergencies.

- In the event a coach either submits an incomplete team or fails to submit a team at all without contacting the admin, they will receive a warning/strike and their submission from last week will be used.

Friday night PARTIAL LOCKOUT at 7.50pm AEST on June 3rd - THIS IS A LOCKOUT FOR ALL PLAYERS WHO WILL PLAY IN AFL ROUND 12
Thursday night PARTIAL LOCKOUT at 7.20pm AEST on June 9th - First game in R13
Friday night FULL LOCKOUT at 7.50pm AEST on June 10th

ADT Round 13 will follow a similar rollout, and a thread will be posted before the start of AFL Round 13

Round 12

Isotopes Stung With Defeat

Arizona Scorpions (1671) defeat Springfield Isotopes (1531)

Arizona scamper away with a victory here carrying some proper bad scores from Howard, Darcy, Brown and Stringer, with star duo Macrae and Miller putting in the work once again. Springfield had some poor scores of their own, topped off with an injury affected 5 from Cerra. It wouldn't have been enough to topple Arizona at home, but this one will definitely sting with the top 4 race in mind.

Bailey Whiff Downs Bermuda

Dallas Coyotes (1742) defeat Bermuda Tiger Sharks (1610)

Dallas hold their nerve against Bermuda who looked threatening after the first block of games, but ultimately it was the Smith captaincy call which undid the good work. 63 isn't a nice total, as Sniff appeared preoccupied with other matters, including his hefty suspensions. It wasn't all sunshine for Dallas though with gun back Perryman copping a serious injury to put him out for a while. Regardless, a win's a win and Dallas stay undefeated in 2022.

Fireflies Fizzle Out

Calgary Fireflies (1403) defeated by El Paso Pioneers (1550)

Ouch. Coach Stig called it early on but Calgary go down to the bottom of the pile El Paso in a massive upset, but with injuries to Calgary's C and VC you'd hope they get the job done. Those two aside though it didn't get much better around the team with Robbie Gray scoring even lower. El Paso didn't smash it, but they put up a decent enough total which was all they needed this week. Perhaps the spoon isn't quite locked up yet!

Pirates Raid Hawaii With HGA

Guadalajara Pirates (1658) defeat Hawaiian Surfers (1613)

Speaking of, Hawaii will be feeling nervous now with El Paso drawing level on wins after the much maligned Guadalajara steal a win on HGA, as Pirates tend to do. Darcy Fort's 54 enough to get it done with both sides very even across the ledger. It keeps finals hopes alive for Guadalajara while Hawaii is back in a battle to avoid the spoon.

Senators Succumb in Scoring Slugfest

Washington Senators (1771) defeated by Los Angeles Kings (1803)

What a game! Washington fall just short but post a massive score in the process to put the rest of the competition on notice! LA will be breathing a sigh of relief after hanging on with their own monster score. 6 130+ scores were on display in this match and while LA had 4, Washington had enough contributors to keep it close. Hogan failed to fire as HGA, with another 15 points maybe changing the result. Regardless, if this is what Washington can bring for the rest of the season then finals is very much a chance.
