It's becoming a tough competition now, and you really need all XV of your players in their natural positions to stay alive. Alas, Beijing (1278) suffered from a lack of a ruckman, despite Connor West's attempts at passing as a ruckman...

I've often found, despite their stupendous midfield, that Matt Taberner (40) is the barometer for Pacific. The forward has played only for Pacific (1282) in his whole career, notching up 57 senior games and 41 reserve matches. Alas, he was found wanting for the Islanders this week...

The final 4!

PNL Reindeers
Buenos Aires Armadillos
New Delhi Tigers
Rome Gladiators

Purple 77

Oh how the mighty have fallen. They still may rightfully claim the minor premiership, but Buenos Aires (1328) won't win the World Idol.

It has been an INSPIRED run deep into the season, but the ease-up against Cairo has cost them as New Delhi (1328) bow out of World Idol.

And then there were two...

Rome v PNL

Who will win the 2022 World Idol? It'll be a club first regardless!

Purple 77

Of course, the two form teams of the comp are the remaining teams in World Idol! Congratulations to Rome and PNL for amazing consistent year... seems bizarre you finished 7th and 6th respectively!

But there can only be one winner of World Idol... and it's awesome when it's their first win!

Unfortunately for Rome (1364), Dan Houston saved his worst performance til last, scoring only 40 as CC, costing the World Idol in harsh fashion! Houston would only need to have scored 62 to win...

In the absence of a premiership, silverware is hard to find in WXVs, so it's just awesome when a coach(es) whom have been here since the very beginning receive some!

Congratulations to the good guys at PNL for winning the 2022 WXV WORLD IDOL!!!!

(referring to silverware)
