Colorado Avalanche 18.7.115 lost to Las Vegas Sinners 19.9.123
(Real: 1728 vs 1848)

A reasonably close one to start the season between the reigning spooners and premiers, with the favourites getting up less than comfortably, with Petracca's big start a large portion of the difference between the sides. Rowell and Witts brought the Avalanche home very strong, but were let down previously to give them such a large tasks by busts like Horne-Francis and TT.

Wisconsin Cockerels 19.11.125 defeated Quito Quetzals 15.15.105
(Real: 1870 vs 1570)

Thought I had a good match-up here scheduled for round one (please note that fixtures are random), shame only one side turned up. Is this Quito's year to drop back into the pack and be replaced by Chicago, Houston, or Anaheim (lol)? Probably not, but a worrying start to ruin Houston and Lipinski hard work. A grand final rematch might have been a better option to randomly come up, preferably in Las Vegas to give the cheating Cockerels an early L, but alas the rigging will have to wait.

Carolina Panthers 20.8.128 defeated Houston Bombers 16.10.106
(Real: 1920 vs 1591)

Maybe Houston deserved the (lol) in that previous match report...Heeney lead the way for a platoon of potatoes such as Western Bulldogs VFL star Lachie Hunter (aka the root cause of Tom Morris getting the boot, thanks a lot for that Houston). Carolina were very good on the other hand, a very consistent team showing with a few big scorers, aside from a couple of Poort duds in Aliir^2 and Rozee.

San Francisco Grizzlies 15.12.102 lost to Ottawa Otters 17.12.114
(Real: 1516 vs 1712)

Was this ever in doubt after Otter plants Riewoldt and Soldo combined for 60? Serves me right for playing Richmond bums smh smh smh give me back Goathwaite and Deledio.

Boston Terriers 19.12.126 defeated Anaheim Mighty Ducks 17.15.117
(Real: 1887 vs 1760)

Anaheim had THREE 145+ scores but still failed to make this all that tight, in spite of Boston having less of that high-end firepower and had Salem injured very early on 5. Boston confirm they're still going to be around the mark in 2022, but will hope to make that leap into the grand final, while Anaheim will be about the same, competitive when their old farts fire but that fire probably won't make it far into winter.

Chicago Sharks 20.9.129 defeated New Brooklyn Hawks 15.16.106
(Real: 1930 vs 1597)

Chicago came to play with the highest score of the week to ease their way past the Hawks, obviously crediting Parker's huge performance (plus 7 other 110+ scorers), while the Hawks couldn't get things quite right in spite of Daicos' heroic debut.
