The WXV Coaches Award

I asked everyone to nominate a player on their list - i.e., their coaches award winner - and for everyone to vote on a 3-2-1 basis on these players.

After tallying everyones votes, the WXV Coaches Award winner goes to...

Sean Darcy (Christchurch)!

The man mountain "Sarce" broke out this year, in particularly over a stretch of 5 games where averaged 152, including back to back 180+ scores! He smashed the Christchurch 'struggling' perception in the process, and will no doubt lead a new-look Saints outfit in years to come.

What a man.

The winner of the 2021 Jim Stynes Medal goes to...

Jack Macrae (Toronto)!

For a year that on the surface looked so open, it's insane to think Macrae won the count by 7 votes! He polled 16 out of a possible 21 votes in the last 7 matches, which is remarkable. His count looked like:

1, 3, 1, 2, 2, 3, 0, 0, 0, 2, 3, 2, 3, 3, 0, 2, 3

Congrats to the ultra dependable Macrae and to Toronto!
