#19
San Francisco Grizzlies 16.10.106 defeated Anaheim Mighty Ducks 15.15.105
(Real: 1590 vs 1568)

An absolute dead rubber in every sense of the word, but always good to get a win and let NBH climb to pick two as their deserved compo for you know what. Anaheim had two 150+ scorers, including the VC, but still managed to capitulate thanks to a 71 as captain, and a host of scores in the 40s and 50s, while SF managed to get the W without any outlier 150+ scores, just two good CCs, and Tom Green continuing his good form - did somebody say rising star?

Houston Bombers 19.7.121 defeated Carolina Panthers 15.18.108
(Real: 1821 vs 1624)

I've been cracking that Houston aren't finals quality all season, but after this result (plus last week for Carolina) would you really say they're not the finals-caliber team out of these two? Carolina couldn't move from fifth spot, and we all know that they have supreme scoring power between Bont, Grundy, the Kellys and Milo, but this is a big alarm for them heading into finals. Speaking of heading into finals, Houston did what they could, now it's on Chicago to get past the mighty Avalanche.

Quito Quetzals 18.10.118 lost to Wisconsin Cockerels 18.12.120
(Real: 1765 vs 1807)

This match meant nothing in terms of ladder, but Quito sure did blow an opportunity to get this scalp and head into finals with a W as CC Hopper faltered late, while Wisconsin get their usual gift of three 145+ scores to secure the victory. Reverse the Dylan Moore trade surely, he's just too good! Also in case anybody was wondering, I didn't rig the draw to get these two teams to play in the last round - complete RNG.

Las Vegas Sinners 18.13.121 defeated New Brooklyn Hawks 15.11.101
(Real: 1819 vs 1520)

The Sinners didn't have any 115+ scorers, but their 8 tons were enough to coast to an easy victory and lock in third spot, no matter what Boston puts up. As for NBH...Markov 8, Johannispud 26, Crouch 32, Bolton 42, Brayshaw 47...enough said. They'll enjoy Jason Horne.

Colorado Avalanche 18.7.115 lost to Chicago Sharks 18.10.118
(Real: 1725 vs 1764)

Hell of a fight put up by Colorado, but in the end the sixth best team in the comp will get sixth spot with a respectable performance - wouldn't have beaten Houston but you'll take a 118 in spite of four sub-50 scorers. 144x2, 120x1.5, 122, 109, 96, 102 is one nice looking midfield.

Boston Terriers 20.8.128 defeated Ottawa Otters 16.12.108
(Real: 1918 vs 1618)

Pendles and Selwood getting injured mid-match and still putting up the highest score of the round, very nice work from Boston heading into finals - of course it helps when you have the highest scoring player as your captain, but Anaheim had #2 as VC and #3 and look how they went. Aside from said injuries Boston were fantastic, while Ottawa have a bit of a disappointing end to a promising season, and also had their share of injuries with Keath rubbed out for 10.
