Updating with announcement of Rd 17 AFL Draw - Note we have a Monday Evening game which will delay results as well.

Captain, Vice Captain and emergency vice captain to be specified and will be locked as will Port/Demons players at bounce on Thursday,
Players in the Friday Night Bombers Crows match will be locked at bounce with balance of team locked at bounce of first Saturday Game Hawks/Dockers

Teams to be lodged in UF and this thread with Emergencies in order so Admin can make the required adjustments if necessary as per this rule so you can see the importance of order: Note if Teams not lodged in this thread then UF order used which means first emergency is your defender. This will be of more importance now if Monday Night football is back.

With  lockout in UF at bounce of First Saturday game please ensure teams are also updated in UF.

When lodging teams please do not edit teams post in a new or quoted post.

Teams are to be lodged in this format:

Def: xxxx  xxxx  xxxx xxxx
Mid: xxxx  xxxx  xxxx xxxx
Ruck: xxxx
Fwds: xxxx  xxxx  xxxx xxxx
Util: xxxx xxxx (can be in any position)
Emergencies: xxxx  xxxx  xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx (name in priority order)

Draw for Rd 13 as follows with first named team having the home ground advantage:
0 teams jostling for positions in the 8 with 3 teams still to avoid priority picks (watching for tanking here)

Oxford Lions v Wrexham Knights
4th v 6th - One of the matches of the round with teams only separated by %.  Lions have the stronger attack wheres Knights have the stronger defence. Knights have started to fulfill the potential over the last couple of rounds whereas Lions have slipped a little. Unless Lions can rediscover some form they may slip out of top 4 at Knights expense.  may need the strong support of their fans to get to the ground and support them to get over the Knights. Knights for me in this one.
Winchester Werewolves v Hastings Hurricanes
10th v 1st, Hard to see the Wolves stopping the raging Hurricane wind who are blowing away all challengers and will continue to do so here
Liverpool Rams v Staines Steins
13th v 3rd - Steins should cement a position in the Top 4 with a comfortable win here,
Grope Lane Giants v Birmingham Dragons
5th v 9th - The other contender for match of the round as if the Dragons are unable to upset the Giants they will have to see other results going their way over these 2 rounds to make the 8. Their cause will be aided by the injuries currently plaguing the giants. This has been msked by their high scoring but if Dragons can contain this attack they may get the win. Still favour the Giants at home.
Bradford Badgers v Huddersfield Hawks
12th v 16th - Badgers should be too strong for the youthful Hawks outfit.
Manchester Magic v Swansea Breakers
11th v 15th the question this week can the breakers douse the magic of Manchester,  If Breakers can stop the Magic attack then they may may win but a big if in front of Magics home crowd.
Nottingham Hoods v Leeds Leeches
8th v 2nd - Hoods holding onto the 8 by % and a win here would consolidate position in the 8. Leeds have been coach less for the last round and would likely relish 2nd position without the coaching staff support. Should Hoods get their best team on park they have the cattle to beat Leeches and with HGA may have the edge here even if coaching staff find their way to the ground.
Blackpool Bunnies v Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs
7th v 14th Bunnies have been quietly climbing the ladder and slipping under the radar and a win here will cement their position in the 8 and have a tilt at top 4. With all this at stake and a roaring home crowd expect Bunnies to get home.

Just remember with a Monday game and mondays teams not announced till Saturday after lockout for those quoting as per UF so may be advantageous to amend quoting emergencies in order.   As per rules if one of utilities is a late out or replaces another line where there is a late out your first emergency replaces them and in this case will be your defence player.  Just a warning with Monday Games.
