Process for lodgement of teams this year with teams again only being announced 24hours in advance. To allow for this you can name up to 6 emergencies.

Teams are to be lodged in this format:

Def: xxxx  xxxx  xxxx xxxx
Mid: xxxx  xxxx  xxxx xxxx
Ruck: xxxx
Fwds: xxxx  xxxx  xxxx xxxx
Util: xxxx xxxx (can be in any position)
Emergencies: xxxx  xxxx  xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx (name in priority order in this thread and post in UF)

With no Thursday night game we will have partial lockout at bounce of Tigers/Cats game Friday night. Tigers and  Cats players will be locked at that time as will Captain, Vice Captain and emergency Vice Captain.
All players will then be locked at bounce of Giants/Bombers game on Saturday.

Teams to be lodged in UF and this thread with Emergencies in order so Admin can make the required adjustments if necessary as per emergence rule that applies in BXVs so you can see the importance of order. Note if Teams are lodged as per UF and emergency order not listed in this thread then UF order used which means first emergency is your defender. A number of teams last week that said as per UF had their defender come in with utilities replacing players not named.

With  lockout in UF at bounce of First Saturday game please ensure teams are also updated in UF.

When lodging teams please do not edit teams post in a new or quoted post.

Rd 8 Draw with first named team having the HGA
Leeds Leeches v Oxford Lions
2nd v 4th  Leeches managed to climb into the top 2 last week without the coach. Can they do the same this week if coach is unable to be present? Lions were hit by injury last week which resulted in them losing first position and will be chaffing at the bit to regain that position from Leeches. Match of the round and if Leeches coach appears at home ground favour them but if he does not they may lose direction from their captain and Lions will get over them.
Swansea Breakers v Blackpool Bunnies
15th v 7th Breakers have been somewhat unlucky with the draw and despite their position this will be a much tighter match than ladder positions suggest. The clash between captains Guthrie and Macrae may decide outcome. Bunnies will also have to contend with Breakers home crowd and this may tilt balance slightly in Breakers favour. Toss of the coin really.
Huddersfield Hawks v Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs
14th v 16th Hawks were very disappointing last week slumping to their lowest score of the year  in the absence of regular captain Dunkley.  Who steps to cover Dunkley will probably assist them to get over the Hedgies. Hedgies have injury concerns and result may depend on depth and how they step up. With HGA think Hawks will get the chocolates,
Birmingham Dragons v Nottingham Hoods
8th v 1st, Hoods had their highest score of the year last week and will be looking to continue this form against the Dragons,  Dragons will be hoping injuries do not adversely effect team this week and will be hoping to have a ruck available to counter Naitanui.  Both teams will be hoping their captains lift after somewhat below par performances last week. Despite Dragons having the HGA hard to go past the Hoods in this one.
Staines Steins v Manchester Magic
5th v 10th Steins had a disappointing week last week with a number of their stars failing to perform. magic had a huge performance from their Captain Hugh Greenwood and will need others to lift as well if they are to match Steins stars.  Steins coach will be hard on team after last weeks performance so expect them to come out firing. If the Steins stars are firing hard to see Magic getting over them.
Bradford Badgers v Hastings Hurricanes
12th v 3rd Hurricanes had the highest score of the round last week and even with a slight drop off hard to see the Badgers getting over them.  Badgers will be hoping Zac Smith shows no ill effects from his injury return and fronts up to allow them a ruck playing. However Hurricanes with the wind in their sails from last week should get home.
Wrexham Knights v Grope Lane Giants
9th v 6th Injuries have decimated the Giants and they will be hoping to get some troops back in defence to enable them to counter the Knights forwards. The clash of these strong midfields will be a battle and which ever midfield gets on top will go a long way to deciding outcome. If Giants have depth to overcome the injuries favour them slightly.
Winchester Werewolves v Liverpool Rams
11th v 13th The outcome will come down to whether the Rams defence can hold the Wolves forwards. Or can the Rams forwards lift and cause the leaky Wolves defence (2nd highest score against) more problems. Real test for both teams as winner will mainttain some contact with top 8. Favour Wolves slightly,
