keeping the faith with Grundy seen an intertesting stat on him in 7 Rd 1 matches he has not tonned.

He has only tonned up once in Round 1 ever Ringo.

YOLO. I've just gone to Draper/Flynn.

expecting rucks to drop overall scoring and see grundy as less downside than gawn in cash loss and injury risk.  biggest risk is quality of woods mids

If rucks are dropping overall, anyone thinking of trading out Gawn now to a cheap ruck (Draper or cheaper) and upgrading a rookie mid??

Nank had 26 hitouts, tied for most that he had last season
Pitto had 34, which would have been good for his second highest tally last year.
Grundy had 39, which is bang on his average from last year of 14.4 and the two years prior of 20+. Stef is one of the only guys that has the ability to get around the ground with him and nullify him there.

What hurt Grundy is he only had 11 touches compared to his average of

Very small sample size to conclude rucks are dropping.. there’re has only been 1 premium ruck play so far.

What hurt Grundy is how many times his hit outs were sharked by Bulldogs mids. That equates to negative points. Collingwood's mids looked awful and that's going to hurt Grundy all year. Gawn still has a great midfield around him so he'll be fine in that department, his average will drop a little but due to a higher % forward. He'll be #1 by a decent margin so just start him

Also, Gawn will be more impactful across the ground and has a much better chance of scoring a goal here and there than Grundy. Gawn also plays against players in first 5-6 games that he will absolutely destroy and feast off them.

If there was ever a week for the top guys like Lloyd, Neale, Grundy and Gawn to have stinkers, this was the one to do it. That score will only be in the rotation for one price rise.

Add Gulden on Bench over Berry to the list,  Think a lot of us will have some rookie errors.

Rowell subbed off injured in 1st Qtr with only 8 points will hurt a few.

In about 50% of teams so more than a few. Unless you think he is a keeper you have to trade him

At this stage it’s gotta be Neale. Two scores in the 70’s. I still expect him to be a top 8-10 mid if not top 4 but it’s a horrid start and will take some big scores. Now it’s whether to ride the cash loss or flick him for someone else and pick him up later when he bottoms out.

Regrets?  I've had a few.  Then again, too few to mention.
