Re - Iterating trading rules here:

5.1 Trading between teams is allowed as long as trades are determined to be reasonably fair between both parties.

5.2 Trades must be listed in the Trading Thread in the following format:

X Team receives: Player A

Y Team receives: Player B

Reason: Justification for why the trade has been made

The trade must be then confirmed by the other party in the trade, and they must list their reasons also

5.3 Trades will either Passed or Rejected by the league administrator.  The administrator will take into consideration the short and long term impacts to both teams, to ensure the trade does not damage a team's future chances of being competitive.

5.4.a  Administration will rule on all trades and should 5 coaches object to the decision of Adminstrator then trade will be sent to a vote of all coaches. Coaches will have 5 days to object to decision.

5.6 Trades for Trade Period 1 will be on an unlimited basis and can include Draft Picks. For trade period 2 trades are on a one for one basis.

5.7 There will be two trade periods per season, one before the drafts, and one after. Teams are entitled to 20 Player movements over the 2 trade periods.

5.8 A player movement is defined as moving a player from one team to another. Draft picks or players you have received as part of a trade can be on traded but will not count as a movement.

Kindly note that this thread is for agreed trades only. Discussions to take place in the 2020 trade discussion thread

Trade Period 1 will close on Monday 7th December prior to National Draft commencing December 9th.

Trade etiquette -  Ensure you have advised any other interested parties that you have completed trade prior to posting. If this not done please advise and I will rule even to the extent of negating trade.

Trade period 2 now open and will close Thursday Feb 18th  midday AEST

Let's kick things off with a 3 way trade!

Grope Lane Giants give: Ben Keays + Mark O'Connor + NAT 33
Grope Lane Giants get: Luke Dahlhaus + NAT 38 + NAT 54

Oxford Lions give: NAT 22 + NAT 38 + NAT 54
Oxford Lions get: Ben Keays + Mark O'Connor + NAT 33 + NAT 44

Winchester Werewolves give: Luke Dahlhaus + NAT 44
Winchester Werewolves get: NAT 22

Reasoning: I wanted a bit more depth in the mids and backs, and Keays and O'Connor suit. Grope Lane wanted another option up forward, and Dahlhaus suited. Lastly, Winchester is looking to freshen up their list a bit this year, and NAT 22 also suits. A few later picks also swapped around to balance it all out.

Rids/nostra and Rusty to confirm.

Confirm.
Keays is likely to lose fwd. OConnor is depth in the position we are the deepest. We needed another fwd or 1 and Dahlhaus suits. Swap of picks to level the trade out.

Confirmed.

Refreshing the squad and it's time for Dahlhaus to move on to assist with that.

Oxford Lions give: Tom Hawkins + NAT 44
Birmingham Dragons give: Ben Long + Brandon Starcevich + NAT 15

Reasoning: The big Porkins is a gun, but ultimately he won't be around when I'm in the premiership window. This trade helps me in the long term (heh) with Long and Starcevich further add to my defensive depth which was sorely lacking, as well as NAT 15. KB gets Porkins to really bolster his forward line and help with his push for the flag over the next couple of years.

kb to confirm.

Oxford Lions give: Dylan Grimes + NAT 5 + NAT 33 + R4
Swansea Breakers give: Michael Gibbons + James Harmes + NAT 51

Reasoning: After losing Hawkins I felt I was lacking in the forwards, and Gibbons fills that need well. Harmes I'm taking the gamble that he'll be able to turn it around after a very poor season. Happy to move on NAT 5, as I've hit the first round of the draft hard in recent years so happy to change it up to try and strengthen the squad.  NAT 33 + R4 + Grimes all added to balance the deal.

Ringo to confirm.

Confirmed. Whilst I would have preferred to keep Gibbons opportunity to get early draft picks was a deciding factor in letting him go, Have youth coming through so adding to them.

Koop

HB trade: NAT Pick 12 + Flynn Perez
Swansea trade: George Hewett

Reasoning: Gunning for a tilt at the flag, George is well-suited for this competition despite having a down year, appropriate compensation for Ringo in the form of a first round pick and a youngster who has looked very very good in limited exposure.

Ringo to confirm.

Confirmed Need to build some depth in defence and Perez at 19 will be around for a while and with Roos de-listings will get more opportunities.  Pick 12 should net more young depth assisting  Breakers depth.

Koop

HB trade: James Cousins + Luke Valente + NAT 45
Winchester trade: Brad Sheppard + NAT 28

Reasoning: Cousins had a fantastic back end to the year, but I'm light on down back so needed to bring in a reinforcement.

Confirmed.

Sheppard a reliable and durable defender, however moving him on whilst he has some currency. Hoping Cousins and Valente can turn into key components of our rebuild.

Blackpool Trade: Michael Hurley + Jimmy Webster
Grope Lane Trade: Brandon Ellis + NAT38

Reason: Grope Lane were after Hurley and I'm happy to get a consistent scorer who's not too old in Aellis for him.
They're also willing to take the punt on Webster who I'm fine with letting go for chips really.

Confirmed

We really needed some bolstering down back and Hurley fills that bill .....well for a season or maybe 2 anyway lol.
As for Webster, well he's a roll of the dice. Not best 22 anymore but has been there in the past so fingers crossed.
Its a bit sad to see Ellis go, he's a good consistent scorer and best 22, but you have to give to get.
Pick 38 is has been included to even it up.
Cheers to Urban for making this such a nice and simple trade that suits both teams needs perfectly.
