Colorado Avalanche 15.13.103 lost to Ottawa Otters 17.12.114
(Real: 1545 vs 1711)

Rowell...if he scored a ton instead of getting hurt on a half-dozen Colorado would've won this match. Having said that, Treloar didn't exactly do Ottawa any favours as captain and they did well to rebound from him to post a respectable score on the road and get the W. Definitely room for some 2021 improvement for both of these sides in order to really push other sides in the comp...

Best
Colorado: Hickey, Walsh, Cerra, Maynard
Ottawa: Smith, Graham, Davies-Uniacke, Taranto

Houston Bombers 17.11.113 defeated Anaheim Mighty Ducks 16.13.109
(Real: 1702 vs 1634)

Thought this one was all over when I saw Boak's huge score, but Houston manage to snatch this one, semi-comfortably too! A trio of 50s from veterans JPK, Hawkins and Jones and poor scores from the two Browns were the death of Anaheim, but you'd imagine they won't all score so poorly every week. Houston didn't have anybody who really stole the show, but were quite consistent across the board, with no scores falling below 60, not even spuds like Craberner!

Best
Houston: Heeney, Saad, Clark
Anaheim: Boak, Ridley, Merrett, Cole

Quito Quetzals 16.14.110 defeated New Brooklyn Hawks 13.16.94
(Real: 1657 vs 1403)

Real get out of jail free card here for Quito, as they scrape to 110 only for NBH to scrape to even lower to give Quito a nice percentage to start things off! Of course, Quito can also blame a poor captain performance (50 from HGW), while usual standouts ROB and Worpel combined for 100. But that was all that was required, as NBH had four players come off the EMGs to fill in, including Blake Acres' failing to outscore the amount of hours in a day (hope nobody traded for him in any other comps), and while their captains were solid they probably weren't up to standards set for them.

Best
Quito: Mills, Dunkley, Hopper, Lukosius, Serong
Brooklyn: Lever, Membrey

Las Vegas Jukercoaches Sinners 20.14.134 defeated Chicago Sharks 19.10.124
(Real: 2014 vs 1862)

How good is this Las Vegas side? Took one of the best teams in the league over the second half of 2020 (idk why it was only the second half) and added the best player in the league in Gulden to it. Meanwhile, Chicago have to feel a bit unlucky, as they would've beaten every other team so far this round easily even with Gaff faultering late as VC, plus nobody subbing in to cover Hipwood's 25, although those two reverting to average probably wouldn't have been enough to snatch this W (and of course, LVS had a 25 of their own with 23rd man Rockliff).

Best
Las Vegas: Gulden, Mitchell, McGrath, Moore, Rowbottom, Stephenson, Fyfe, O'Meara, Lyons
Chicago: Bowes, Flynn, Brayshaw, Oliver, Hurn, Barrass, Lynch, Guthrie, Perryman

Wisconsin Cockerels 19.11.125 defeated Boston Terriers 18.10.118
(Real: 1877 vs 1771)

Did the Parish-Morrison-Moore trade combo win this match for Wisconsin? Possibly, with all three scoring 95+ in the starting XVIII, while none of the players given up scored over 65. Does a team with their best score by far coming from Taylor Walker ever deserve to win the match? Probably not.

Best
Wisconsin: Macrae, May, Zorko, Billings, Ziebell, Edwards, Daniel
Boston: Walker, Sloane, Parfitt, McInerney, Goldstein, Parfitt, Laird, Pendlebury, Selwood

Carolina Panthers 18.8.116 defeated San Francisco Grizzlies 13.14.92
(Real: 1738 vs 1382)

Carolina are back to their usual inconsistent brilliance - Dusty went gangbusters and they had plenty of other solid scorers, but heavily let down by others scoring well below their usual standards, such as captain Grundy only managing 70 which cost them a genuinely big score, as did poor showings from other usual gun players like Daicos (30), and poor showings from usual spud players like Daniher (54). But as long as Milo gets a W it's GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME.

Best
Carolina: Martin, Kelly, Amon, Shiel, Short
San Francisco: Stewart, Hunter
