Food for thought

We all thought we would have plenty of trades this year. In a normal year we are looking to fill our sides with premium players during or just after the byes.

Are we still aiming for a full premium side or are we resigned to the fact that we might have to skimp out?

Is it worth keeping rookies like King / Taylor / Williamson who have the JS and ability to score well sporadically and use them as second chance loopholes later in the season? Ideally we use the cash gained to upgrade but will we get there this year?

We're at a tricky point now. I think with the amount of injuries, coupled with the lack of time for cashcows to make money, we need to make some tough calls.

Personally, I'm thinking the approach is going to be to be to fill the team with fallen premos, then save some trades for injuries or luxuries later on. Guys like:

Yeo (this week)
Whitfield
Zorko
Bailey Smith
Tom Stewart (depending when he comes back)
Zac Williams

Are all awesome, cheap options.

I'd rather the end up with Yeo and Zorko as my last 2 midfielders, than be one or two short from spending 600k+ on the top level mids.
