85-90 would be good enough.

Potentially losing 40ppg per week, and only makes 100k at best. I'm not sure it is good enough

You say losing 40 points a week, I saying turning Mitch Hibberd (55 ave spud with zero JS) into Ollie Wines with the $. There's my 40 points back.

It's all relative

Every time someone does a 2 for 2 comparison I cringe

It's your overall 22/30 that counts. You'll need to upgrade both Sauce and Wines as neither are keepers, so more trades are burnt that way. Not to mention Hibberd/Rookie will most likely be a smaller gap than 40 but that's secondary

Exactly this. But the difference with grundy is the captaincy option

Grundy/Gawn 125
Mid Rookie 60
185

Wines 95
Sauce 85

180

1 Keeper + C option vs 2 mid pricers who you need to use trades on to upgrade eventually

I know what option I'll be going with

Like I said, these 2 for 2 comparisons are just stupid. Why is it Sauce + Mid vs GG and mid rookie? The 2 for 2 comparisons are endless, and pointless. Maximising the 10M for most points, cash generation and least trades required to complete the side, is what counts

I'm grabbing Nic Nat and one of the big boys.

Sauce is a hard pass. He has been regressing over the last 5 years and at his age with the way he plays I don't see him bouncing back. You're looking at probably an 80 to 85 at best. He would have needed to be under 300k to be considered.

crowls

I hope to play a lot of coaches who dont start GG,   Bring on Sauce and NN.   over a season very confident which team will be better off.

You're also picking Nic Nat as a stepping stone and picking up the other one of Gawn or Grundy around the byes. You're looking at how you structure up with the extra cash

LordSneeze

Realistically NN might go 100 average, I wouldnt be estimating more than that. If he averages 100, he makes 90k. He will then be in that spot where he is scoring solidly and you will likely keep because you have other more important things to fix.

The questions should be how do you use the 230k from picking NN, will this save you a trade elsewhere, whats you plan if NN fails?

For me he is a price that your picking as a premium not a stepping stone.

Can anybody challenge the ruck GOATS?

Surely lock and load. But should we?

Edited quote from mm.....

Answer:  YES

Money Shot

Lock them in.

I’ll be taking plenty of mid priced risks in other lines with the confidence of knowing I have Grundy/Gawn VC/C locked and loaded.

Had Nic Nat in my team 5 minutes but then remembered there is almost no chance that he won't  frustrate me by getting injured or rested

You look at their scoring charts, their consistency (low chance of getting picked up at a big price drop), bonus points from having captaincy options, age (both in primes, could argue Grundy is only just entering his), recent injury history.

They are the two lockiest locks that ever locked.

However... please dont pick them, I want a leg up!

Looks like they're due for some bad luck/form.
