LAST EVER LAHUG'S CAPTAINS!

It's been quite a ride. I started off writing on FanFooty Forum in the Players & Trades section and have since branched out to Doctor Supercoach and OTLS (while never leaving my FF roots). To celebrate the end of an era, I would really appreciate any donations possible to my Cancer Council appeal: https://myownway.everydayhero.com/au/will-huggett-s-2018-fundraising

Captains for Cancer Council.

https://myownway.everydayhero.com/au/will-huggett-s-2018-fundraising

Please pledge funds to help fight cancer! Examples of ways you can help:
1.   Pledge an amount (e.g. $5) for every time LaHug nails the top captain of the round.
2.   Pledge an amount (e.g. $5) for every time LaHug's POD cracks the 120 mark.
3.   Pledge an amount (e.g. $5) for every time LaHug gets egg on his face and his number 1 scores under 100.
4.   Make a once off donation.

Did you know that this is the 9th year I've done this? I'll continue to help with a smile and free of charge but, if you want to thank me, please donate to my charity efforts! Each week I will tell you some statistics on a player's last 3 games, their last 3 against this week's opponent, and their last 3 at this ground. I will also do a quick overview on my thoughts and have a guess at their score for this week. From all this, I'll give you my top 5 captain choices for the week and a speicial POD choice.

The facts & thoughts:

Brodie Grundy
Last 3: 90, 105, 145 (113 avg)
Last 3 against Essendon: 123, 122, 110 (118 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 105, 145, 79 (110 avg)

The Essendon ruck stocks are a shambles and that's good news for Grundy this week. Fremantle won the hit outs 58-17 and, with Grundy a solo ruck, he'll go big. Prediction - 130

Adam Treloar
Last 3: 92, 107, 129 (109 avg)
Last 3 against Essendon: 105, 122, 57 (95 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 107, 129, 130 (122 avg)

Treloar is pretty good against the Bombers but his last couple of weeks have been down. MCG should help him here. Prediction - 120

Zach Merrett
Last 3: 124, 141, 116 (127 avg)
Last 3 against Collingwood: 108, 124, 109 (114 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 57, 102, 117 (92 avg)

Merrett's killing it at the moment and consistently tons against the Pies. Prediction - 125

Max Gawn
Last 3: 111, 90, 104 (102 avg)
Last 3 against North: 114, 113, 116 (114 avg)
Last 3 at Hobart: 113, 116 (115 avg)

Max's health is the concern here with a hamstring injury last week. If fit, he'll continue his good scoring against the Roos and in Hobart. Prediction - 115

Clayton Oliver
Last 3: 96, 130, 103 (110 avg)
Last 3 against North: 88, 128, 97 (104 avg)
Last 3 at Hobart: 128, 89 (109 avg)

Clarry scored a very handy 128 in Hobart two years ago. Could he get there again? Probably not but his scoring has been good of late. Prediction - 110

Patrick Dangerfield
Last 3: 116, 114, 65 (98 avg)
Last 3 against Carlton: 117, 88, 122 (109 avg)
Last 3 at Kardinia: 114, 123, 92 (110 avg)

Danger is back at the Cattery and should continue his good form against the Blues this week. Prediction - 120

Patrick Cripps
Last 3: 69, 126, 75 (90 avg)
Last 3 against Geelong: 92, 98, 59 (83 avg)
Last 3 at Kardinia: 92 (92 avg)

Nope nope nope. Cripps was shocking last week, although news came out he was in hospital the morning before the game. He's out this week because he just can't manage to score a ton against the Cats. Prediction - 90

Josh Kelly
Last 3: 75, 89, 120 (95 avg)
Last 3 against Gold Coast: 140, 166, 105 (137 avg)
Last 3 at Metricon: 87, 94 (91 avg)

Kelly will be all the better for the run last week and now he comes up against his favourite team to smash. If you've kept him so long, now's the time to give him the C. Prediction - 140

Andrew Gaff
Last 3: 104, 106, 107 (106 avg)
Last 3 against Hawthorn: 119, 154, 88 (120 avg)
Last 3 at Perth: 106, 103, 104 (104 avg)

Gaff has been pumping out low tons each week but could finally get a bigger one this week. His last two against the Hawks have been great and even the Suns managed some good scores against the Hawks last week. Prediction - 115

Jack Macrae
Last 3: 107, 132, 151 (130 avg)
Last 3 against Adelaide: 144, 103, 93 (113 avg)
Last 3 at Ballarat: 98, 112, 151 (120 avg)

Macrae loves playing in Ballarat and will definitely carry his awesome form forward to the last match of the season. Prediction - 130

Josh Dunkley
Last 3: 150, 123, 113 (129 avg)
Last 3 against Adelaide: 57 (57 avg)
Last 3 at Ballarat: 127, 116, 99 (114 avg)

Dunkley also loves playing in Ballarat and had a massive 150 last week. Prediction - 130

Dustin Martin
Last 3: 130, 111, 133 (125 avg)
Last 3 against Brisbane: 111, 131, 63 (102 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 130, 111, 133 (125 avg)

Dusty has gone from my POD last week (nailed it!) to a potentially popular option this week. He's good against the Lions and his form speaks for itself. Prediction - 125

Lachie Neale
Last 3: 101, 74, 91 (89 avg)
Last 3 against Richmond: 102, 96, 149 (116 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 139, 117, 102 (119 avg)

Neale is great the MCG and pretty good against the Tigers. Finally got back to the ton list last week and should finish strong. Prediction - 110

Nat Fyfe
Last 3: 78, 121, 104 (101 avg)
Last 3 against Port: 104, 67, 116 (96 avg)
Last 3 at AO: 124, 67, 80 (90 avg)

Fyfe was down last week due to a strong tag from Ambrose. He probably won't cop a tag this week and that's good news if you want to give him the C badge one last time. Prediction - 115

LAHUG'S POD!

Scott Pendlebury
Last 3: 137, 99, 120 (119 avg)
Last 3 against Essendon: 148, 119, 104 (124 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 99, 120, 98 (106 avg)

Pendles loves to smash the Bombers and he'll do so again this week. Coming off a 137 last week it's the perfect time to use Pendles as your hail mary captain. Potential - 140+

The verdict:
1.   Josh Kelly (140)
2.   Josh Dunkley (130)
3.   Jack Macrae (130)
4.   Brodie Grundy (130)
5.   Zach Merrett (125)

Onya Legend for all your efforts not just this year but in the past.
You don't do this by half measures Huggy, you put in a solid effort
every time. Thanks mate enjoy retirement.  ;)

PowerBug

Cheers huggy for this every week. Was gonna go Grundy but seeing as you have Kelly first, I’ll back you in seeing as it’ll be the last chance I have to do this (for AF anyway).

I'm deciding between finding the cash to get Kelly in this week or going for glory with the Pendles POD. Sadly, in DT and SC, I want to wait to see if Max is a late out before using my last trades so I can't get Pendles in those comps. Cheers for the support :)

Thanks for all the hard work mate!  At this stage if Gawn is out then I'll trade him down to Preuss and bring Kelly in.

Football Factory
