Colorado Avalanche 13.9.87 lost to Ottawa Otters 18.8.116
(Real: 1304 vs 1734)

Just too many passengers for Colorado, as Ottawa claim the four points on the road and some handy percentage. Ottawa captain Tim Taranto was the best afield in a very good display, with the only Ottawa passengers being twin 38s by Hogan and Menadue.

Best
Colorado: Witts
Ottawa: Taranto, Byrne-Jones, Prestia, Lloyd, Cunnington

Houston Bombers 16.13.109 defeated Anaheim Mighty Ducks 15.15.105
(Real: 1629 vs 1579)

With a best list of that shown below, you'd expect this would be a good, 120-115 or so clash. But instead both teams underperformed, with plenty of passengers on both sides of the field. Only one backman between the teams topped 70 (Crisp's 99), with both teams having a score in the 30s, a score in the 40s, and a fair few in the 50s. For two finals contenders you'd expect a lot better, which I'm sure they will push for the rest of the season.

Best
Houston: Sloane, Edwards, Greenwood, Walters, Crisp
Anaheim: Bellchambers, Hawkins, Macpherson, Merrett, Miles

Quito Quetzals 19.8.122 lost to New Brooklyn Hawks 20.9.129
(Real: 1823 vs 1941)

Now this is a match you want to see from two finals contenders! Quito very unlucky to get done as they'll be in the top handful of scoring teams for the round, with NBH just too strong on the road - and would've cracked 2000 if big ruckman Darcy Parish wasn't OOP. Mumford's poor CC score was a big blow for Quito, and they probably lacked a century or two away from getting the job done, but they can still hold their chins up high as a solid score against a premiership contender.

Best
Quito: Dunkley, Vlastuin, Higins, Swallow, Rich
Brooklyn: Gunston, Houli, Parish, Wilson, Cripps, Liberatore, Acres, Steele, Membrey

Las Vegas Sinners 16.11.107 lost to Chicago Sharks 18.7.115
(Real: 1603 vs 1719)

Despite a really poor captain score (53 by Oliver), the Sharks still managed a solid score and a road victory against the Sinners, who also had a reasonably poor captain score (72 by Rockliff) and three scores under 40. Chicago also had their fair share of passengers, but had a good representation of tons, lead by VC Luke Parker. Fyfe was the best as usual for Las Vegas - he wants the captaincy back!

Best
Las Vegas: Fyfe, Lloyd, Lyons, Gresham
Chicago: Parker, Lobb, Andrews, Yeo, Hurn, Gaff

Wisconsin Cockerels 19.12.126 defeated Boston Terriers 18.12.120
(Real: 1884 vs 1801)

Another pretty good game between two premiership contenders, as Wisconsin almost choked it away at the end with Tucker, Witherden, and Cameron combining for just the 172 points, but Neale put down the counter-choke with only 79 as captain - strip him of the captaincy! Wisconsin were well on track to top the 2000 again until the end of the round, while Boston did extremely well to top 1800 despite only the three tons - I guess that's what 5 in the 90s and 3 in the 80s does.

Best
Wisconsin: Gawn, Shuey, Duncan, Dunstan, Whitfield, Daniel, Macrae, Rampe
Boston: Pendlebury, Redden, Sheed

Carolina Panthers 20.10.130 defeated San Francisco Grizzlies 15.11.101
(Real: 1943 vs 1508)

May have been destroyed...but I'm still pretty dirty at giving up the highest scorer in the round as captain for I believe the third of fourth time in ten rounds (somebody fact check that). Probably the first time a team has given up 1900+ in consecutive rounds too (again, fact checking required). Not going to lose too many games with four and a half (captaincy bonuses included) scores over 140 (and a 134), as Carolina narrowly claim the round's top scorer over NBH (although the Hawks didn't have HGA like the Panthers did).

Best
Carolina: Grundy, Kelly, Kelly, Ellis-Yolman, Bontempelli, Henderson
San Francisco: Hill, Hore

A chance of a ladder update this week? Eager to see the score in my 'against' column.

Seeing as the mid-season draft will be ordered on ladder position, I guess I'll have to *sigh*

Nah I was just going to get cracking on it after a toilet break, so expect it in 30-45 minutes or so.
