Looks like the injuries have gotten the better of him.  Shame he couldn't stay injury free, I really rated him but now with Hogan/Lobb at the club he is going to be very hard pressed to get a game.

Yet another of our players who we expected so much of, yet injury ruined a career.
I was wrapped that we picked Apeness when we did.I was chatting to some one who knows him on another site. He told me he was a beast, a brute.Loved to hurt players to win the ball.
He showed that in the number of games he played, but was never able to get on the park for any length of time to show his wares.
I remember him coming back from injury one game at Subi against Essendon. He broke his collar bone before half time, yet played on with the injury.A brave effort from him.
I wish him all the best in his future, what ever that might be.
