Not sure how true it is, but apparently the end of year exit interview between Ross and Neale did not go down well, with a lot of yelling involved and threatening of B&F being recounted so Neale doesn't win it.  :o :o :o
That rumour also got shot down during the week

Who the flower starts these things, and how the hell do they spread like gospel?!
Because eveyone knows that any stories involving trades sells. There have been some 18 players associated with Brisbane to give credence to the fake news.

Not many kids were given the chance by Ross but it was pleasing to see young blokes like Sheridan get a run over some of the older guys like Suban and Danyle Pearce

Suban was de-listed and now plays for South Fremantle.

This is all well and good but when will Ross actually play the kids?! No wonder Freo have been rebuilding for 23 years

The best part about this interview is the flog Barrett thinking he has it all worked out and Rosich just shooting him down.

Loved it

(that being said, I believe Lachie Neale will go to Brisbane)

Also, looks like the Journo who wrote the article cant read a transcript

FREMANTLE won't accept Brisbane's first-round selection on its own in exchange for midfielder Lachie Neale, says CEO Steve Rosich.

No mention of that what so ever.

"I don't normally go down the path of discussing those things (hypothetical situations) … but if Brisbane saw fit to offer that pick (Brisbane's first pick, currently No.4), we wouldn't be accepting of it," Rosich said.

"Our first, second and third preference is to retain Lachie. It's not something we've given a lot of thought to at this stage."

Where does he mention that Pick 4 on its own wont get it done?

Ringo

Suspect it will be involved in a three way trade with melbourne myself.

maybe something like this
Brisbane in - Neale, pick 43
out - picks 4 & 40
Freo in - Hogan, picks 32 & 40
out - Neale & pick 5
Melbourne in - picks 4 & 5
out - Hogan, picks 32 & 43.

That allows Melbourne then to offer 5 for Steven May.

Think the deal will get done as pretty sure Dockers will not want Neale to walk next year in return for a compo pick.

The Lions get best of that deal Ringo they are going to have cough up another maybe next years 1st round as well if Hogan is worth pick 4 and 5 personally I think Neale is worth more .

I would much rather Hogan

SilverLion

Been saying it since the start, Pick 4 + 2019 2nd rounder (need 22 this year for Macfayden) should get it done. Also, its up to Lachie if he wants to leave or not, Rosich is delusional if he thinks they'll keep him if he doesn't want to be there.

That's way unders for a quality contracted player like Neale minimum next years 1st plus 4

You are dealing with Fages and Noble and they will not fall for a stupid deal like pick 2 for Lachie Neale. Lions also remember that Jack Redden who although not as good as Neale was traded for pick 19 so Pick 5 as it will be is fair but as I said earlier think that 3 way trade may be worked on. Personally I do not think Hogan is worth 4 and 5 either but with players wanting to leave you want to get the best you can but at the same time not stand in a players way who does not want to be there.
We have been raided by clubs in the Voss leppitsch years and have accepted a lot of unders.
However I tried to put another spin on  this and saying would we accept 4 for Zorko and said probably no so can understand.
