I might as well just quote last year's thread, nothing has really changed;

I started the trade thread up on my birthday last year so I'm doing the same again this year! it the day before this year!

Usual rules apply lads
Player movements will obviously not count towards 2017 2018 finals.
There is no trade voting for approval unless I receive an official complaint via message about a trade, after which it will be put to a vote. Please only complain if you really feel one team is winning by far too much - not just for slight inbalances like in WXV.
Yadda yadda yadda, you all know what to do.

#3
Colorado trade: Mark Blicavs + Aaron Vandenberg

Ottawa trade: Tom Cutler + Jy Simpkin + Willem Drew

Reasoning: Being regularly unable to field four forwards this season due to injury/players not being in their team's best 22 was frustrating, so this should solve that problem partly. Cutler a personal favourite & happy to punt on Drew. Haven't seen a lot but the club backed him with a 2 year extension so I'm happy to sit on him and wait & see.

Got some good youth already, and similar types to both Cutler and Jy, plus Willem is surplus to needs. Blicavs is just another solid best 22 defender and I'm a big fan of Vandenberg and I reckon he's in the Dees best team when fit so could be a solid depth option.

Confirmed.

Quito trade: Darcy Lang
Anaheim trade: Harley Bennell

Happy to take a punt on a fallen star. It's been a long time since we've seen the best of Bennell, but I'm willing to roll the dice.

KB to Confirm.

obv might regret this but just want better fwd depth for next years flag push

might make more sense after posting another trade im working on bringing in a premo fwd

TomK

Anaheim trade: Brodie Smith, Brayden Ainsworth, NAT 21

Boston trade: Robbie Gray

Defenders are of a need while I still have some strong depth at the fwd position to cover Robbie's loss. Robbie is the best player in the deal so Ainsworth and NAT 21 to even it out. Good to have Lairdy and Smith together too :-*

Confirmed on KB's behalf.

Anaheim in need of more starting forwards, Gray suits.

TomK

Boston trade: NAT 20

Las Vegas trade: Taylor Walker and NAT 58

Tex further strengthens my forwards and I'm willing to bet he'll bounce back after a poor season with his recent surgery and a full preseason.

Confirm. We have a full roster of fwds so the early Nat pick will come in handy

Anaheim Mighty Ducks give: Dyson Heppell + Dan Hannebery + Conor McKenna
Anaheim Mighty Ducks get: Tom Hawkins + Anthony Miles + NAT 7

New Brooklyn Hawks give: Tom Hawkins + Anthony Miles + NAT 16
New Brooklyn Hawks get: Dyson Heppell + Conor McKenna

San Franciso Grizzlies give: NAT 7
San Franciso Grizzlies get: Dan Hannebery + NAT 16

Anaheim keen to offload an Essendon mid with Smith likely being mid only next season in order to avoid being overdependent on one club's midfield. Heppell along with McKenna allowed us to get Miles who should get a fair run at it at the Suns and Hawkins, who will add immensely to our forward stocks.

Pk and Jukes to confirm.

Yes this is more like it. confirmed.

Miles will be great up at GC, KB and I both know this - but I like Heppell more! McKenna will help my backline woes, Hawkins obviously coming off a career-best year but his age makes him a risky prospect - but 12 months ago I valued him pretty low so this is a good return on keeping him on my list an extra season.

Big Mac

Chicago trade: Pick 9
Colorado trade: Jared Polec

Chicago need another mid and Polec fits our age profile
