New Brooklyn Hawks 20.10.130 defeated Chicago Sharks 17.9.111
(Real: 1944 vs 1660)

Big score and a big win by the Hawks on the back of Sauce Jacobs dominating and a good team performance with 9 centurions, including the captain and vice-captain. Chicago weren't horrible spare for Oliver's very poor 59 as captain, as they had four scores 120+ but their forwards and interchange, spare Fantasia, were poor.

Best
Brooklyn: Jacobs, Crouch, Nankervis, Berry, Doedee, Cripps, Brayshaw, Steele
Chicago: Kennedy, Gaff, Parker, Fantasia, Hurn, Ryder

Las Vegas Sinners 20.5.125 defeated Ottawa Otters 17.8.110
(Real: 1880 vs 1646)

Another great score by the home team and another big win, although again Ottawa were reasonably decent. Mitchell lead the way as captain with 181 (only player of the round to top 150), and Fyfe's injury-affected 43 as VC didn't factor into the result - but cost them percentage and a 2000+ score. It wasn't a one-man-show however, as Lloyd, Westhoff and Lyons also scored well. Hogan and McLean were good as Ottawa CCs (their two highest scoring players) but they were always up against it.

Best
Las Vegas: Mitchell, Lloyd, Westhoff, Lyons, Carlisle, Powell-Pepper, Sheppard
Ottawa: Hogan, McLean, Cutler, Grigg

Carolina Panthers 15.17.107 defeated Colorado Avalanche 12.15.87
(Real: 1609 vs 1302)

Geez, I don't know who was poorer - cellar dwellers Colorado not topping 90, or reigning premiers Carolina struggling over 1600. They may have won but concern all over the park - Dusty's continued poor form must be infuriating the coach, but at least Jake Stringer is showing some good touch and Brodie Grundy continued his great season.

Best
Carolina: Grundy, Ward, Short
Colorado: Savage, Smith

Houston Bombers 18.9.117 lost to Boston Terriers 18.11.119
(Real: 1749 vs 1784)

Bomber captain Isaac Heeney's concussion was the big difference here as the Terriers squeak over the line (of course, both teams still put in very respectable scores). The rest of the Bombers were great but just not enough as Selwood as captain got the Terriers over the line (unlike with Geelong).

Best
Houston: Simpson, Riewoldt, Beams, Lambert, Phillips, Macmillan
Boston: Selwood, Wingard, Neale, Laird, Goldstein, Cotchin, Pendlebury

Anaheim Mighty Ducks 17.11.113 lost to Wisconsin Cockerels 19.9.123
(Real: 1697 vs 1847)

It was Macrae earlier in the season, and now it's Gawn almost single-handedly winning games for Wisconsin. Anaheim's captain, vice-captain, and emergency vice-captain scoring 118 was aesthetically pleasing but it just wasn't enough, as Hannan, named as sub but coming in to replace Sandilands, could only manage 30 was a big blow, but their forward line should cop flack too for only managing 241 between them. Meanwhile for the Cockerels their forward line was a highlight - youngsters Curnow (108), Fritsch (82) and Battle (73) were pleasing while Billings had a 96 trying to stomp out his early season nightmare. But in the end, it was Gawn who was the highlight - all his Gilmore Girls viewing must be inspiring him.

Best
Anaheim: Armitage, Dangerfield, Merrett, Heppell, Hardwick
Wisconsin: Gawn, Duncan, Shuey, Miller, Curnow, ABlett

Quito Quetzals 17.11.113 defeated San Francisco Grizzlies 17.8.110
(Real: 1701 vs 1650)

I may not like losing, but Quito deserve more wins than they've been given so I'll hand it over (tanking??). I just can't shake a few players scoring abominably every week - this week it was Melksham 28 (a forward when his side kicked 18 goals), Kelly 37 (86 points less this week in a win than in a loss last week), Smith 46 (108 last time he played on my bench), and Shaw 40 (averaging 107 the last four games). Quito had two good CCs and tons by spuds non-key players in Haynes, Vlastuin, Swallow, Dunkley and Breust to get them over the line.

Best
Quito: Vlastuin, Swallow, Higgins, Haynes, Breust, Dunkley, Curnow
San Francisco: Martin, Adams, Coniglio, Viney, Stewart, Steven, Hawkins
