Pre-Scaled, Quito def. Anaheim by 118pts. The mathematical possibility of finals lives.

San Francisco Grizzlies 17.8.110 defeated Colorado Avalanche 12.17.89
(Real: 1647 vs 1335)

Not a great score by the Grizzlies thanks to Jed Anderson's half dozen pointer and Melksham's 49, but enough to get the job done against a poor Avalanche performance lead by zero centurions, two co-captain scores in the low-60s, and two OOP forwards.

Best
San Francisco: Adams, Hunter, Hawkins, Martin
Colorado: N/A

Carolina Panthers 21.10.136 defeated Boston Terriers 15.16.106
(Real: 2043 vs 1593)

Terriers were poor, I'll give them that (not having a team named in a couple weeks doesn't help that), as they had a pair of OOP backmen and a very underperforming set of forwards (96, 56, 47, 57, 14, 44) - but Carolina took their game to another level by pumping out a huge score lead by eleven centurions (without any flukey 160+, even 140+, scorers either), with captain Grundy their highest scorer.

Best
Carolina: Grundy, McDonald, Kelly, Bontempelli, Ward, Menegola, Roughead, Howard, Henderson, Shiel, Short
Boston: Selwood, Goldstein, Laird, Sidebottom

Wisconsin Cockerels 20.8.128 defeated Chicago Sharks 19.10.124
(Real: 1925 vs 1866)

Great showing by both sides, Chicago falling over on Sunday due to McCarthy (25), Lynch (35), and Wells (47) essentially. Tom McDonald the BOG with a big 164, while Gawn, Duncan, Kerridge, and Sinclair were also good, while Shuey and Waite troubled the Cockerel's emergencies with late outs.

Best
Wisconsin: Gawn, Duncan, Kennedy, Ablett, Fritsch, Whitfield, Macrae, Zorko, Miller, May
Chicago: McDonald, Kerridge, Sinclair, Oliver, Parker, Hurn, Sicily, Barrass, Kennedy

Las Vegas Sinners 15.16.106 lost to New Brooklyn Hawks 15.18.108
(Real: 1584 vs 1618)

On the other side of the coin, this match - although close - was pretty low scoring, with the Hawks just scraping home on the road. Vegas leant too much on captain Mitchell with a lot of passengers, while NBH had another backman hurt for just 15 points (Lever, following Houli last week), and VC Cripps was very poor (about 100 points worse than when he played me!), but captain Matt Crouch had a steadying ton and sub Membrey was very good.

Best
Las Vegas: Mitchell, Franklin
Brooklyn: Membrey, Crouch, Gunston

Quito Quetzals 18.9.117 defeated Anaheim Mighty Ducks 16.12.108
(Real: 1759 vs 1616)

Both a very good performance by Quito and a poor performance by Anaheim here as the Quetzals continue their good run of form. Bellchambers was a clear BOG but it just wasn't enough for the Ducks as Bellcho was let down by plenty of passengers on all lines. Tom Phillips continued his ripper run of form as the VC (5 scores of 119+ in his last 6 games) and is surely pressing for captaincy sooner rather than later (as good as Curnow is), while they have room to improve as McCluggage and Houston could only combine for 60 points.

Best
Quito: Phillips, Higgins, Curnow, Lycett, Suckling
Anaheim: Bellchambers, Burgoyne, Merrett, Dangerfield

Houston Bombers 19.8.122 defeated Ottawa Otters 18.9.117
(Real: 1828 vs 1756)

Another very good game here, with the Bombers continuing their great form, and Ottawa showing some positive signs. Houston really should have won by more with Zaharakis going down early on 15, but were lead by Edwards' 142 and captain Beams kicking a bag. Ottawa were let down by CC McLean for the first time in a while, but had plenty of good scorers outside of McLean and Ceglar (33).

Houston: Edwards, Beams, Ziebell, Kreuzer, Crisp, Heeney, Rance, Greenwood
Ottawa: Shiels, Naitanui, Hogan, McEvoy, McGovern, Treloar, Wood

Averaging 124.8 over his last 5 full games, Tom Phillips staking his claim for some EOS recognition.

Three of our previous top four tripped up this week, allowing NBH to jump into third (2% behind second too), while we start to get a big of a logjam between the 8 teams above 5-5 vying for the six finals spots, with Houston and Carolina jumping Chicago into 6th and 7th - if those two sides continue their recent form finals certainly beckon, but at who's cost?
