Is Stephenson likely to get dropped in 3-4 weeks when Elliot/De Goey are fit?

Nah i think he will be fine. He if he plays well enough he will stay in the team especially if he kicks the ball well (unlike many of his team mates). Injuries to other players are always a high propability. Id prefer Crocker, aish and smith to all go first. However, we are missing fasolo, wells, degoey, elliott, greenwood, scharenberg, and Kirby  ;D

I know a lot of people here doubt Barry will last long, and it's a legit concern but I keep thinking of all the positive news the coaches kept saying about him over the summer, so I think he will get a good shot and he is worth M11 to me

If it doesn't work out, then so be it - that's what correction trades are for :P

Far out i forgot he almost went 100 in 1 of the JLT games.

at the moment im finding it tough to split LDU and Barry.

if Barry was safe it would be obvious. you would think LDU should play most games though and was a great junior.

Think im going to go with Davies-Uniacke as he is already norths best player ;)

If Billy Gowers 117k is named to play, would you consider him?
Absolutely, he's a gun. Might not have the best JS, but I reckon he'll pop up several times this year.

Where would you rank him among Langdon, Fritsch and the West Coast lads? I only just realised he's a mature age recruit..
Fritsch is probably the best of the bunch, everything I've seen from Langdon looks fairly positive but I'd probably put Gowers slightly ahead and Eagles guys comfortably behind. That's just me though.

Ricochet

I ran with Garlett last night so won't be able to grab Barry unless I dropped Brayshaw down to him for the extra cash. But Brayshaw's JS is worth the extra spend

RaisyDaisy

I really want to run 2 cheap mid rookies on field at M7/8 because I'd rather Holman, Kelly, Banfield etc on field instead of forward rookies, but there just isn't enough to do it is there?

M7 - Kelly
M8 - Banfield
M9 - Holman
M10 - Barry
M11 - ??

Because of that reason, I think I can only run 1 on field but it's going to be frustrating if these guys go 70+ and are sitting on my bench

Any suggestions?

Starting to wish I left Garlett at M11 like I had up until just before the bounce last night - not for his scoring but so I could do this

Finlayson is the only other option I see, but I think we would all prefer him covering D5-6 down back.

RaisyDaisy

Yeah true

OÇonor, Shipley and Fogarty the only other options

I actually think we could get away with starting one of them at M11 - if they get dropped they can be used to loop M7/8/9 each week, and because my first 6 would be rock solid I would only need 2 of M7-10 to cover the field each week, which should be quite doable

Brayshaw is a must-have if starting 5 mid rookies IMO. He also provides flexibility to sideways to LDU if he performs.

Mongoose528

Keeffe named as an emergency, Langdon named on the field.

In terms of Supercoach, Lachlan Fogarty is not one to be sleeping on imo. It's just a shame his JS is so poor, but he certainly has the potential if you want to take that risk. In fact I reckon he might be one of the better performing junior's coming through. Certainly one to keep an eye on, if you're looking at Barry, I'd be looking at Fogarty as a viable alternative.

'In addition to his 9.7 tackles per game at TAC Cup level in 2017, Fogarty also averaged 25 disposals, 1.3 goals and 1.7 assists â€" “massive numbers”, according to Luff.'

Averaged 144 Supercoach in the TAC in 2017, second in draftees only to Charlie Spargo across their respective state competitions, and averaged 115 at the Championships.

He's at M11 for me currently now.

RaisyDaisy

Chris Scott seems to give the kids a fair run at it too

FFS Parsons never got dropped  ;D

I'm seriously considering starting both Barry and Fogarty
