What are people doing with Banfield?

Concerned that both Hill brothers are out and he makes way once they return

I feel like we should pass on him, but I also feel like he's worth the risk as probably one of the best cheap rookies available

Tough decision

He's in for me, Freo are rebuilding so I expect plenty of games to be given to the young midfielders. He's also had a few preseasons under his belt, I'd actually expect a guy like Pearce to get the chop first.

Yeah but it's Ross lyin. It could be plenty of games as in 7-8 in a row which would be great. OR play 2-3 give someone else a run. 3 weeks later back in for 2-3 etc etc.Hopefully it's the former.
2 Hill brothers have to come back in somehow.

They recruited him to play and it seems that the Pickett 12 week wrist injury would give him ok JS. Got him on my mid bench as M11.

Bit of a conundrum where to pick Garlett in our teams.
Could be the best fwd rookie, and with limited options makes sense to put him fwd.
On the other hand DPP in the mids is very handy, but more options in the mids might make it hard to fit him in.
I've got Brayshaw,Brodie,Kelly,Holman,Banfield and there could be more named so it could mean missing out on a key mid rookie.

Depends what other forward rookies are named. Those same 5 mids you mentioned could well be my M7 to M11 with Garlett forward.

I guess it’s a choice of two of Venables, Ryan, Garlett and ZGL assuming hey are named which is very likely. Then it’s a correction trade if needed to someone else who’s performing better.

Ringo

If going with 2 rookies on field in forward line then Garlett should slot in but if only one on field as you say choice between Fritsch, Ryan, Venables and ZGL as if named think all will be better scorers than Garlett.

Garlett in mids though gives DPP Flexibility. At the moment my m7 - M11 behind Armitage are Brayshaw, Banfield, Kelly, Holman and Garlett,

batt

I currently have Garlett fighting with Barry for M10.  If Barry is named on field he wins.  Otherwise I may just take Garlett.

Venables, Fritsch, Langdon all > Garlett at this stage.

What does everyone expect Garlett to average?
