Cheers Gigantor. Here's hoping. There is at least 1 small forward spot at GWS with no Devon or Stevie J. It appeared between him & Tiziani from a fantasy rookie perspective & they both copped injuries. Sounds Like Zac has recovered well enough to be considered for Round 1.
Still listed as 'injured' ... Any idea why?
Probably just not updated. The article is dated today so it supercedes the bandaid.

does anyone know if darcy fogarty will line up round 1, or at least how likely he will be? avg about 50 but had a great second game in the JLT?

Just read this. Maybe we can slot him back in to our teams.

LordSneeze

If he is named ill probably slot him in given the lack of fwd rookies that im confident will play and score reasonable.

If all of Giles-Langdon, Fritsch, Garlett and 2-3 of the Eagles (Venables, Ryan, Rioli and Waterman) line up Round 1, would anyone consider picking 4 of them and fielding two at F5/6?

Certainly does allow you to go deeper in other lines, but does carry some risk

I currently have Stephensen, Fogarty, Fritsch, Langdon

That leaves out Ryan/Garlett who wont score but have JS. Or even Keefe to use as the loophole. So im actually unsure with Fwd rookies atm

Fritsch, Garlett, Ryan, Rioli, Venables, Langdon all a good chance to play but who will average over 60????

IM not fielding any of them, got fogarty at F6 but could end up going with another forward premo to keep these duds of the ground. The mids and backs are where the rookies are at.

A lot of people seem to be fielding expensive rookies in the mids, and even down back with Coffield, O'Shea, Naugton etc

If these forward rookies can average 50-60 at 117k vs the expensive rookies who might average 70+ but at nearly twice the cost, is it actually worth it?

If I was to field two of the forward rookies for 50-60avg I could field guys like JOM/Arma at M7/8. What combo comes out in front? No real clear winner, but I do prefer not starting guys like Brayshaw/Brodie etc simply because they don't make as much cash

According to an article on HS website Tom Mccartin is a chance at playing for Sydney in Round 1. $117k forward.

Having not watched either Sydney game I cannot comment on his prospects. Can others with more knowledge please enlighten us?

He Didn't play in the JLT and the fact he is a KPP its a no for me. Correction if he does play and nails a spot, but from everything ive seen he is unlikely.

The Draft Review report

SUMMARY

Tom McCartin is an interesting key forward. Clubs will no doubt view him as a long-term prospect because while he has the athleticism and endurance to be a threat up forward, it is his consistency and finishing which lets him down. For mine, McCartin seems like the perfect prospect for a club to draft and just spend a season or two working on his technique and confidence in the state leagues before unleashing him in the AFL. McCartin was always in that late-to-rookie stage of the draft, but key forwards can often land earlier than expected if someone pulls the trigger. He has improvements to make, but there’s something there to work with for coaches.

He only played AFLX, meant to have impressed there but no JLT is not a good sign

I'd only want to be fielding 1 of those spud forward rookies and have 3 of them max.

Whilst Brayshaw and Brodie are more expensive I'm thinking 80+ isn't out of the question for either of them.

They'll be a quick money maker and then Bam gone. The forward rooks might make more cash but it'll be a slower burn making the whole process of upgrading a slower task.

Fwiw I'm going Byrne and then 4 of Doedee/Keefe/Murray/Finlayson/Coff/Naughton

Brodie + Brayshaw and then all of Banfield/Kelly/Holman and then 3 of Fritsch/Langdon/Ryan/Garlett/Venables/Rioli of which I have the first 3.
