Round 3 is coming up, first round of the season without a Thursday night game which makes things a bit easier I hope :P

Fixture:

Rams vs Magic: Rams had a real chance at knocking over the Badgers last weekend, but let it slip away at the end. Playing at home this week, they'll be wanting to get their first win on the board, and will be hoping for the return of star ruckman Todd Goldstein as well. The Magic were quite impressive against the Giants last week, with Sloaney finding some very good form after a limited pre-season. This one might come down to whether Goldy is able to get up or not.

Badgers vs Hoods: Badgers didn't have their best week, but did enough to beat the Rams. For the 2nd week running, the Hoods were disappointing, with Hannebery performing way below par yet again. You would think the Badgers would be far too strong at home here.

Hedgies vs Giants: Hedgies didn't have their best week, and now sit on the bottom of the ladder, after finishing last year looking like a team that could make that next step, and push for top 4. The Giants have been gradually improving with their younger players getting more and more experienced with every game they play. This is a really tough one to pick. The Hedgies will be hoping Dusty gets up for the game, and I think he might be the difference here.

Knights vs Bunnies: The Knights weren't too bad in their win against the Hoods, but so much relies on how well their star midfielder Patrick Dangerfield performs. The Bunnies haven't started all that well themselves, and currently reside in the bottom 4. A big game for Paddy should see the Knights run away with this at home, but if he has a quiet game...the Bunnies will be ready to steal a win.

Hurricanes vs Owls: Ooh, I've been waiting for this game! The Owls knocked out an undefeated Hurricanes outfit in last year's Preliminary Final, and went on to win the premiership. They have started like a house on fire this season, with back-to-back 2600+ scores. The Hurricanes are yet to break 2500 so far this season, and if they want to get revenge for their prelim loss last year, they'll have to do that this week with a massive score. I think they might just be able to do it.

Leeches vs Steins: The Steins have started the year with 2 scores of over 2300, and look in really good touch. The Leeches haven't been bad, but perhaps just a tad short of where they would like to be atm. A heartbreaking loss against the Hawks last week due to HGA will have them wanting to make a statement this week, and at home they're every chance of doing that. But I think the Steins will be too strong and come away with a very tight win.

Dragons vs Breakers: Probably not much to say here. The Dragons have been awesome so far this season, easily in contention for a top 4 spot. The Breakers were solid in round 1, but very poor in round 2. Dragons at home for a percentage booster.

Hawks vs Werewolves: Man, the Werewolves went huge last week, top scoring for the round. The scoring power of their midfield is insane. The Hawks were also quite good, and got a much needed win over the Leeches in an extremely close match. They host the Werewolves at home again this week, but if the Werewolves perform anything like they did last week, the Hawks won't stand a chance. Werewolves for me.

Just a reminder that the teams listed on the left in my mini write-ups are the teams with HGA :)

UF is still an absolute pain with setting home teams in the fixture :P

Dustin Martin (vc), Luke Parker (c), Lachie Neale (evc), David Zaharakis
Callum Sinclair
Toby Greene, Matthew Wright, Mav Weller, Alex Neal-Bullen

Josh Bruce, Levi Greenwood, Aaron Mullett, Mark Hutchings

IN: Callum Sinclair
OUT: Rhys Stanley (AFL Omit)

Lack of pressure on spots means we name an unchanged lineup. The Saints pair of Savage & Weller extremely lucky that they are up against Brisbane this week, who historically leak scores. Big call on Parker but will back him in against the Dogs.

Champions League Coaches, remember to name your teams as it starts this round :) (And in the appropriate format otherwise I will be very upset and annoyed at you and you'll pay for it)
