Oh boy, the first match of the round is a ripper with the Avalanche stealing the win by a solitary SC point! Murphy did the bulk of the work for the Avalanche, while several players scored well for the Quetzals - except vice-captain Shaun Higgins, who helped cost them the match. Meanwhile, reserves captain Travis Cloke lead expertly as the Tortoise got their first victory.

Rory Sloane as captain was enough as the Bombers got home comfortably in Las Vegas, condemning the Sinners to another 0-3 start, as impressive as they've been. Surely Houston will be back in the top 6 now? And at least the Sinners got the win in the reserves to stay unbeaten, lead well by captain Billie Stretch and youngster Nic Newman.
