I see the MRP are still a bunch of dickheads
Eagles better challenge this
I thought they meant theyd given Oliver a week for staging, which i wasnt sure if it was possible but im sure in support of it!! terrible decision and if they challenge it will be overturned.

I mean, in case it wasn't clear, the reason that Schofield got given a week is because it was high and intentional with low impact. That constitutes a week.

However, the Eagles should challenge it and argue insufficient force (which it looked like it was), obviously the only issue with that is that he's not successful, he'll actually cop two weeks.

He didn't even get him in the face,it clipped his shoulder that is the whole point

Not that anyone here is likely to bring it up but have seen many posts about Shuey getting off last week even tho it has nothing to do with this,I really thought Shuey should have got done

As an independent observer and after viewing footage why was not Oliver not cited for throwing the punch as well.  he had a closed fist and we heard about jumper punches.  So with their actions tonight the MRP has now condoned jumper punches and diving as free for all in future.

Eagles should challenge it but my concern is it was intentional and that may be the crux of the MRP's argument even though it only hit shoulder and minimum force. Apparently Dees doctor was seen treating jaw after incident which further complicates it.

I mean, let's not act like the MRP is consistent though. Every chance they'll suspend someone for one of those acts next week.

Apparently Clarrie got some blood cleaned up too, so that part of the medical report would have also factored in. But yeah, the fact that it was high and intentional is the major issue.

I feel like i watched the wrong incident? or is the shoulder high now?

Rusty00

He definitely got him in the face and anyone who thinks he didn't hasnt watched the incident properly.

Whether that should be a weeks suspension I don't know.

I've watched it several times and it does not get his face,if it got him in the face unexpectedly like he said then why does his head not move even a little from the force, because sure as anything you cop something unexpectedly in the face/chin no matter what the force is your head will move back

Mat0369

There is a freeze frame of the elbow on his chin/neck

GoLions

If you punch while blind, you're a bloody idiot

Actually watch the footage and watch it properly

Mat0369

I did. Actually look at the picture and see how there is contact with his face. The fact is he got him high.

Big Mac

Yep. Pretty clear he made contact with the head.

jvalles69

Yeah, it was a really weird action, he went to shove him in the shoulder, but for some reason his elbow was on an angle and did connect with his chin...was super low impact and he reacted 5 seconds too late to the force.  This is the 2nd time Oliver has done this, earlier in the year Higgins brushed past him when he was getting all that attention and Oliver dropped like a sack of spuds, pathetic look and he needs to get a fine as he's done it twice now.
