The Draw for Round 8

Breakers v Dragons 6th v 9th. The Dragons are one of the improving sides this year and unluckily had an injury to Captain Tom Rockliff last week which contributed to their defeat by the Hawks. Breakers have been up and down this year and have been unable to nail their captains choices. One of the matches of the rounds but maybe the Dragons just with the greater depth.

Knights v Rams 12th v 13th Both teams coming off defeats last week and would be looking for redemption.  Rams have been hard hit by suspension and the Knights starting to show what they are capable of.  With Pendles and Danger leading the way expect a Knights victory.

Badgers v Leeches 4th v 5th Should be the Match of the round but with the Badgers carrying a huge injury toll Leeches. one of the surprise packets this year, should continue on their winning way.

Hoods v Hurricanes 11th v 1st - On ladder positions should be an easy win to the Hurricanes.  However the Hoods had their highest score of the season last week and if that form is carried on this week an upset is possible. Expect the Hoods to give a lot of cheek but Hurricanes to prevail.

Giants v Hedgehogs 10th v 16th - Giants rebuild is showing some success but hard to see them getting over the hedgies who have been a  little unlucky in a couple of games and should be higher on the table. However Hedgehogs better not take the Giants too lightly or they may be surprised.

Werewolves v Hawks 2nd v 3rd,  This is undoubtedly the match of the round with both teams firing.  Only 15 points separated these two teams last week.  The Wolves would be really hoping for an increased output from their former captain Gary Ablett whilst the Hawks are undoubtedly pleased with the form of Dayne Beams on his return from injury.  Will he get the c this week? Expecting a very close match and think the result will depend on Abletts performance. Going Hawks but not with a lot of confidence.

Steins v Owls 14th v 8th - Should be a comfortable win for the Owls who will be looking to bounce back after their defeat by the Werewolves.  Steins with their rebuild having trouble naming the right team with their bench scoring more.  If they can get their Captain and team right may cause a surprise this week.

Magic v Bunnies 15th v 7th - On ladder positions Bunnies should comfortably account for the Magic, However if Magic get their selections right at the selection table they could easily win this one.

Let the banter begin
