Had an impulse buy for my Aff team today.

Pick this AR up for 121k. I can make a spot for him to slide into for a season and hoping to get him to Acc,Acc,Acc with rel fielding and cap experience before next EOS. If i can do this whilst he is still 20 i should turn a profit.
Thoughts!

I dont really know the senior market but I think you overpaid for a reli/reli/reli 19yo AR.  I sell 19yo accom/accom/accom for around 200k normally - for whatever reason they dont sell well unless they are a F or WS bowler.

auscoyote

Ah Ok.
Cheers for that info  :)

He was an impulse buy, I just haven't bought an AR for resale before so was unsure. I usually stick to Accumulator/BH and other sought after talents on a couple of players to turn a profit.

Just checked his ranking for age/nationality and he comes in at #10 South Africa, so maybe i can get lucky and work some magic with him. If not he might be my first dedicated resale to sell at a loss (inc Wages).

My reckoning if i can sell him for 180k this time next season i will break even. Anything over and every $ helps.
On reflection though i probably did paid overs like you said. I just couldn't wait untill EOS madness ;D

PowerBug

I don't mind that buy at all to be honest.

auscoyote

It might be a tad overs if i could of picked up an Acc/Acc/Acc AR for 80k more in 2 weeks time.

Time will tell though. I'm not at all unhappy with the buy and he wont go to waste.

That's not really an indicative reading in to how good he is.  I have 5 x players with ratings above 40k.

Primary heavy batsman
Primary heavy bowler
Primary heavy bowler
Reli/Reli/Reli All-Rounder
Wicket Keeper (18yo)

I would consider the AR to be my worst player out of those 5 x players.

I have been shopping early this year.

Spent about 200k more than i wanted too on this player so i consider it overs.
However he is exactly what i was after, a Spin Spec to bat at #4 and become my VC.

Fielding low for a soon to be 23yr and exp down a tad but i just could resist.I would of had him cheaper if CW hadn't joined me in a bidding war :P The only other bidder pulled out at 550k.

Final purchase price: $938,064

I plan on training fielding all next year but will be pushing shower up hill to get him to spec by seasons end. That's the downside and hence the overpay IMO. Other than that what do ya's think?

Any opinions to train differently? He was on bat training when purchased :o >:(

Holy flower... I wouldn't pay that much for any batsmen hahaha :P But excep/excep @23 is pretty damn good. Hope he kills it for you man :P and Spin Specialist can help.

Anyone want this piece of shower I got from PB. I'm over giving him the chance and he always dives on me haha.

Yeah geez almost a mil for a batsman :o He definitely needs more fielding and I would focus on that first.

Oi, Jaden Daniels is good! :(
