If anyone is in need of a 80average mid, Danyle Pearce is available. I'm looking for a 70-75ave forward. Chuck me a PM if interested.

Also Purple, is there any update on the trade votes? Or have I missed it?

Nah there is no trade votes for this trade period. Normally the admin decides the outcome of the trade, and if enough people PM the admin to reject it, then it will fail.

I got Nige to decide my trade... *twiddles thumbs* :P

Sorry if I was unclear Purps but I was actually asking about the "Trade Process" where the coaches had to vote for options A, B, C, D. Was just wondering how that was going?

Oh, right!

8 teams still to vote, but I reckon I could take a good guess and which option will win from this point. I might send out a reminder tomorrow :)

Holz

Dublin trade: Matthew scharenberg + Cian Hanley
Moscow trade: Jacob weitering + a ruck spud

Reason: was hoping NDS would be a defender but without him I was relying on scharenberg.  Everybody knowd I rate shaz and he has as much if not more scoring potential then weits. His injury puts him 1 year behind in development.  I need weits even if he only averages like 55-60.

Cian Hanley has recovered from ACl and reports are he is quicker then his brother at same age. Really rate him so hate to sacrifice him. I had shaz just over weits but with injury im paying up. Hanley my best youth after omac. He was on my do not trade list but torp got him off me

I feel he might play a few in 2016 but his year is 2017 much like shaz.

Works well for Moscow bringing in heppell Hooker shaz Hanley for 2017. I need to go hard for 2016 so thats weits.

The ruck spud is just to make up numbers

The ruck spud is Marc Pittonet.

And confirmed.

Confirmation on pittonet aka 2016 delisting

JBs-Hawks

So with that reasoning is it confirmation that Moscow are tanking for 2016

Its not tanking its just not pushing for a flag. They will still challenge for the 8.

Just like capetown did by trading in picks

meow meow

Trade fails on the basis of this period being for DPP changes. Pittonet and Hanley are nothing so the trade is a defender for a defender and serves no purpose.

A injured defender for a playing defender to cover NDS not getting dpp.

Which is a robbery as monty dpp for nothing. NDS legit rebounds off the half back flank and I think is our lead guy if kicking it in. Also really high rebound 50 numbers for a "mid"

I guess its only thr forwatd line that should have dpp. NDS more of a defender then 10+ guys are forwards

Torpedo10

Reason?

Firstly I didn't want Weitering in the first place, and since the Essendon bans have come in I'd rather a slightly better scorer for the future and sacrifice a potential full season with Weitering.

Purple 77

Dublin trade: Matthew Scharenberg + Cian Hanley
Moscow trade: Jacob Weitering + Marc Pittonet

DPP reasoning is fair enough. I remember seeing Holz talking about NDS defense status in threads outside of Worlds well and truly before positions came out, he did seem confident, and seeing as he was a North supporter and studies North players more, I'll give him in the benefit of the doubt.

Weitering was an auto-pick at Pick 8, and by the sounds of it, wasn't Moscow's first choice. So I'll value him as Pick 9 for the sake of argument.

The Shaz seems to have his admirers in the AFL community. It kinda bothers me that Holz forked over the now delisted Brodie Martin and Matt Taberner over for him, but that shouldn't really have any weight here.

Moscow do lose a highly rated defender... but, even when you consider Hooker not being available, these guys can play in the starting 4

Sam Docherty
Nick Vlastuin
Paul Seedsman
Clancee Pearce
Steven May
Lynden Dunn
Jack Hombsch
James Frawley

So they're not going to miss Scharenberg this year. I guess you could say Shaz and Weitering are both kinda long term projects, with Shaz carrying a couple of years more on an AFL list vs how many AFL games Weitering gets. Barring injury, you could say Shaz could be a better scoring option in a year or two anyway.

The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. I shall bang the gong and condemn Moscow to having just one ruckman for 2016 :P

Verdict: PASSED

Holz

Thanks purp that was some thorough analysis.

That probably the end for dublin.  I would like a m6 as Jroo currently filling that role. The defense was more vital though and while weits should go sub 60 thats enough to cover if two injuries hit.

Wirh yaz and Hansen thats a definite possibility.

Really hope weits does a Rance and not a Plowman or ither high kpp picks
