#345
think you gonna give me a beating here PB
213 on a sticky is a bloody good score to defend

PowerBug

Well, once I get to 200 I back myself on a Sticky.

B. Lwana (rfs) 5-0-17-0, N. Ayasha 38 (55b), F. Kaleel 27 (50b)
End of over 27 (6 runs) - DazBurg's Greatness(99-2). 115 runs required from 23 overs. RR 3.67 RRR 5.00
Still a chance for you, but with a long tail to come, I am expecting my bowlers to find a way :)

PowerBug

Wowwwww bloody hell Maloney. 4 drop catches... Game over Daz you've got me, so no reesbr shield Friday match :(

not over your into my tail think you'll still get the win

PowerBug

Well suddenly Lwana bowled one good over and the game is in the balance again. It's on Valentine here.

48.3 . Al-Attiyah to Valentine : [dropped] That was a genuine chance at point, as Valentine attempted to smash a ball outside off but didn't connect very well. Roach was moving the wrong way and has ended up grassing what he should have taken easily.
48.4 1 Al-Attiyah to Valentine : Just flicked off the pads by Valentine.
48.5 2 Al-Attiyah to Meyer : Short of a length delivery, Meyer goes to flick it away on the leg side but finds a leading edge popping over point for 2.
48.6 . Al-Attiyah to Meyer : Lovely cover drive but it's straight to the fielder and no run is scored.

N. Al-Attiyah (rfm) 10-0-40-2, A. Valentine 36 (39b), D. Meyer 4 (7b)
End of over 49 (5 runs) - DazBurg's Greatness(213-8). 1 runs required from 1 overs. RR 4.35 RRR 1.00

49.1 W Austin to Valentine : [stumped] What a wicket! Austin lures Valentine down the wicket with a beautifully flighted ball. It grips and turns beyond Valentine, resulting in the easiest of stumpings.
A. Valentine st G. Maloney b. B. Austin 36 (40b 2x4 1x6) SR:90.00

49.2 W Austin to Haider : [runout] Haider turns this around the corner and sets off immediately, but Meyer wants none of it! Livera collects and throws to Maloney, who breaks the stumps with Haider stranded halfway down the pitch. What on earth were the batsmen thinking there?
N. Haider run out (H. Livera) 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

B. Austin (rws) 9.2-0-43-2, D. Meyer 4 (7b)
End of over 50 (maiden) - DazBurg's Greatness(213-10). 1 runs required from 0 overs. RR 4.26 RRR 0.00

Match Tied

DazBurg

soooooo do we need to rematch at some point then or is it too bad for me i didn't get the win and take your spot?

PowerBug

I could've sworn that somewhere in the rules I wrote that "The lower ranked team MUST WIN to overtake the home side". I know I did in the SL Community shield.

I mean, I am of the opinion that the away side needs to win like above, but if you want to state that the rules don't technically say you have lost the challenge we can have a re-match.

In saying the above we can't swap spots based on today's result so tomorrow's SOD game against Torp will be for the Champions spot in the shield!

nah i agree totally
that was why i asked
it is kind of like in boxing or UFC if it is a draw then the current champ stays champ
but in this case i think the higher ranked person keeps there spot
so i have no probs and i reckon add that to front page now so since we have no problem and it is stated clearly for anyone else for future ;)

Correct. Where the number sits and not a name means you wait for the game to be played. Or for the time to be expired in which case I will update it.

Basically just wait for me to make an updated post with the team name there :)

PowerBug

Well from that moment on (183/6) it was all me. Thirimanne is only a reas bat but he made 49 (33) and along with Thatcher helped the score along to 279/8, which I knew would be competitive. nrich started well with the bat (70/1 after 10.1) but then middle over wickets reduced him to 97/5, from there it just a matter of when the final wickets were taken.

End of over 47 (3 runs) - Ninjas(226-10). 54 runs required from 3 overs. RR 4.81 RRR 18.00
F. Turner 16 (26b), A. Bastian (rws) 9-1-32-2
53 run win to me, and I jump back above nrich :)
