The Gold Coast SUNS wish to advise that Charlie Dixon and Jack Martin have been sanctioned for breaching team standards.

The pair admitted to consuming alcohol in their hotel rooms on Friday evening prior to the round nine match against Hawthorn in Launceston.

As a result, Dixon will be unavailable for senior selection this weekend while Martin, who is unavailable for this weekend’s match due to injury, will remain in the NEAFL side for an additional match when he returns from his hamstring strain following the bye

When I read it I thought it meant like immediately before a game, so the fact of the night before didnt seem as bad :P
