Fitness
- Fitness (formerly endurance) would change to a skill that is much more fluid.
- Managers will allocate a portion of a player's training time each week to fitness training. ie there will be two variables to set per player. A training program (where the player increases skills) and a fitness program (none, light, medium, heavy).
- The younger a player is, the easier it will be for them to maintain a high fitness level. For example, a 16yo may only need to maintain a light fitness program in order for their fitness level to hover around the expert level. Alternately, a 30yo may need to follow a heavy fitness program to maintain the same level of fitness.
- The heavier the fitness program, the less time the player has available to train skills or talents. A light training program might take up 10% of a player's time during the week. A heavy training program may take up 30%, for example
- fitness will increase and decrease quickly. For example, a young player with poor fitness on a heavy training program will increase fitness fairly quickly (perhaps a level a week initially).
- fatigue recovery will be more affected by fitness level than it currently is. A player with very high fitness will recover from fatigue noticeably faster than a player with low fitness

Reasoning
- it has always seemed unrealistic to me that young players start in the game with much lower fitness levels than older players
- it doesn't seem realistic that you can train fitness up to a particular level over time and then completely ignore it
- if a manager wants to run with a small squad, they can somewhat alleviate fatigue issues by ensuring their players have high fitness levels
- hopefully younger players will be able to break into nat squads a bit more readily (as they'll likely have fitness levels similar to older players)

Works for me, as long as the percentage penalty isn't so severe that there is a huge skill gap between players having been trained largely without this and those having been trained largely with it.

Hellopplz

Agree Alex! It certainly would improve the current structure and means youngsters can gain better fitness to play matches, especially if want to chuck them in Seniors (or young seniors playing two games a week). I'm for the idea!

And choosing how much is being training is great, always wished we could do that for skills (well for Endo since it trains with everything).
