I don't pretend to be a GWS expert so feel free to post your own up too.

B: Kennedy, Davis, Patfull
HB: Shaw, Mohr, Scully
M: Shiel, Treloar, Whitfield
HF: Smith, Tomlinson, Kelly
F: Palmer, Cameron, Hoskin-Elliott

Foll: Mumford, Griffen, Ward
Int: Greene, Coniglio, Bugg, Stewart

Who pinch hits?
Stewart, Tomlinson and Cameron are all tall enough to do so, I'd say one of them.

fasttrack13

Need someone who can hold there own in the strength department though... Cameron and Tomlinson are fairly lightly built, don't know enough about Stewart.

It's a question of where the goals are going to come from.
Between guys like Cameron, Tomlinson, Dev and WHE, that forward line is pretty capable. Their mids can always slot a goal per game too. Might be being a tad optimistic, but I don't think they'll have a problem.

They need to find an extra 25 goals to play finals I think and that's going to be a real stretch.

25? Jezza could do that himself.

^ this.

Cameron only kicked 29 goals last year because of injury... he'll kick 70 this year ;)

it looks alright to me. I think the forward line is basically spot on, as is the midfield.

imo, when fit, Davis, Patful, Mohr and Shaw are all locks in our backs. Kennedy's defensive game is pretty rated by the coach as well. It annoys be to see scully there, since he should be on the bench and bugg in HB. Mohr's  out for a while with injury from memory, so it really comes down to who they go to replace him- hampton would probably leave us a little short, so I think they'd probably go for Haynes if fit, and plowman if not.

Who they play out of stewart, phillips and lobb up front really depends on preseason/ neafl form imo. Atm, if I had to call it, I'd say stewart, unless mumford really starts struggling.

I'd say Phillips is their 2nd best ruck quite comfortably.

I think the above will be their round 1 line up, with Haynes first emergency. WHE is best 22, Hampton and Haynes unlucky and Patton will push someone out.

Jack Steele a chance to play this week lads? Second successive week with BOG honours in the reserves, and the seniors got pumped, surely he gets a run?

LF

If it's anything like Eagles with Colledge then he is no chance to play :P

I didn't see the game (fortunately I guess :P ) but it doesn't really look like it was our midfield that underwhelmed- Shiel, Ward, Whitfield, Scully, COniglio all performed reasonably and Griffen/ greene were hardly bad enough to drop. How the flower we did so terribly against such an undermanned team is pathetic though imo.

I guess Kelly might find himself out?

Actually, if Steele is to make his debut, after a couple of underwhelming weeks (albeit, he racked up in junk time v. GC) I'd say kelly's going.

kilbluff1985

Steele might come in for Stewart and be the sub so WHE can get a full game

Money Shot

So for next week Steele is the player to come in if an injury occurs you would think?

Samsturmfels

Any reason why Mccarthy keeps being the sub?

chances of him or stewart leaving at the end of the year?

Nige

There's probably a chance that McCarthy (more so than Stewart) will leave.

They obviously have an abundance of talls and they unfortunately can't play them all.

He's from WA, so Freo might have a look at him, but a Victorian club needing a tall forward might think about it too.

I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one of the GWS talls leave in the offseason.
