First training session in my team, Chamal Dorenagama (http://www.fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=1616835) pops in fielding!
Also through four youth friendlies he's yet to have gone wicketless. Get scared people, you'll be hearing a lot about this guy in the future!

Terrible then :P

Although with his prodigy talent he might be able to rival my guy by the time he is 19 (mine hit rel/rel with cap fielding at week 9 at 17).

Why isn't your squad open? Best part of having a super squad is to be able to show it off.

Haha yep, he was a mid-late season pull as well, scary to think what he might have become if he was week 1. Will hopefully be outs/outs by the time he has his 20th b-day, and will be being sold as soon as he's out of the YA.

He has had some dodgy performances for your lot in the past so hopefully he finally delivers something for UAE.

I'd go 1x fielding and 1x endurance then see if you can squeeze a tech pop out of him.

Popped in Batting :) One more batting pop and then he goes onto Power until reasonable.

http://www.fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=1315320
Popped in Endurance last week. Should be close to Exceptional Batting. I will then train Power to reasonable, and then finish his fielding off (exceptional)

http://www.fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=1202521
Experience pop, a badly needed one. Plays two games a week so it will eventually reach a level that will see more consistent performances in Div 1.

Got three batsmen here that I need to split between come EOS, I can only really keep one of them:

http://www.fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=1503371
Popped today in Tech and in Experience. The most advanced of the three players primary wise

http://www.fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=1500384
Should be close to accomplished batting. Probably not an option to hold considering the Endurance and Power.

http://www.fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=1539350
The furthest behind in primaries, has much better secondaries, is a captain option, the best XP level of the lot, and an in game talent. Tech only popped last week which is a concern though.

Sri Lanka's highest waged 23yo (by almost $1,000 to the next guy) you are seeing below :)

PowerBugCC >> 15. Hashan Livera >> Details
Player Info

23 years | 52,400 rating | $12,875 wage (8% discount)

Right hand batsman | Right arm Finger spin
Talents   Gifted (Batting)
Nationality   Sri Lanka

Experience   reliable
Captaincy   average

Skills

A very nice double pop today. Now it's time for fielding to the required level (Exceptional) before going for World Class Batting (via straight Bat training). The tech gap is done on purpose.

Yeah it is pretty good to have. I am lucky to have 2 players like that this season
Title: Re: Pops and Plops #2
Post by: valkorum on February 22, 2016, 11:09:12 PM
I generally like to have them at least reli/reli by the EOS when they are 18.  Normally I have them at accom/reli

So for a non youth farm to have cap/reli, that is pretty good.

Yeah this is the first gen youth for this account. So it was training while I was still upgrading my academies. I'm at Lavish now, apparently that's the most effective Academy for it's price.
Title: Re: Pops and Plops #2

Lavish is definitely a good starting point - I personally run a Deluxe
Title: Re: Pops and Plops #2
Post by: PowerBug on February 23, 2016, 12:32:22 PM
No superior is the most cost efficient. But if you are running a youth farm you should go to Deluxe. If you are running a Home Grown side then lavish is probably a good starting point to try and get your youths training quickly.

No point spending money on something you aren't utilising (SA). And may as well spend all the money on YA as you'll obviously get better players from it.

And because I'm bored, let's see how mayn Spare Ratings my entire Senior squad has...

Austin - 2843 (33 next season)
Aronstam - 1913 (31)
Kumar - 4723
Oppenheimer - 4765
Roach - 2117
Bitwott - 4261 (30)
Lwana - 3187
Byrd - 3086 (29)
Rasil - 3013 (28)
Al-Attiyah - 3636 (27)
Maloney - 2482 (26)
Livera - 2917 (25)
Hankey - 1683
Tasleem - 2575 (24)
Illeperuma - 2717
Madu - 2127 (23)
Palanivel - 3420 (22)
Naushard - 2641 (21)
Dorenagama - 3162
Hevey - 3381
Stevenson - 3972
Gamaarachchi - 2219 (20)
Wickramapala - 3208

At least no one besides Hankey has a really low number. Al-Attiyah probably the most exciting of the lot as I know he's base in Power and Fielding :) Might be close to getting both batting and bowling to Spec!
