Iceland Polar Bears
Backs: J. McVeigh (C), C. Dempsey, J. Harbrow, J. Frawley

OUT: A. Mackie, S. Mumford, D. Tyson, J. Watts
After a very off week for the Polar Bears last week, Coach Hellopplz has swung the axe. Mummy keeps pulling out at the last minute for Iceland so Warnock finally is named on field to start in his place. Mackie finds himself injured after last week, which Dempsey found as the perfect time to make his return to the lineup after missing the start of the year for disciplinary reasons. Tyson and Watts find themselves lacking form with a rampant Stanley and Elliot nipping at their heels, so had to make room for them!
With Scooter not performing to his last year's standards, Captaincy shall remain on McVeigh for now. We really lack the captains choice so certainly something to look for in the off season!
Partial lockout like AF or full lockout like Real DT guys?
I'll lean towards full lockout as not sure how partial will work properly considering tomorrow is basically 3 straight games, so means Spinks/Holz (who is back in WA) have to make the call if they see in time.
Just short notice, so play it safe and just assume full lockout unless said otherwise :).
Full lockout from the first game.

Pendles C Boyd VC Gibbs Petrie OOP
Sandi
Martin Cloke Boomer JJK

First Rocky does shower as captain, now de Boer has been subbed off for a shocker. Whoever's playing us this week has a very handy head start.

I'm not sure Serbia is seriously undermanned with 4 mids out and Petrie as mid 4.
Serbia better win, Sweden are trying to push for the number 1 spot and the quicker the undefeated sides lose the better. Even though a Serbian loss would also be nice.

Haha. Two of the three flag favourites massively battling in the week they play each other. Should be interesting.
478/5 with captain having played. Surely we're toast.

Um serious question here...
Why didn't you just name either Martin or Harvey in the mids since they are both DPP? Then you wouldn't have had to play anyone OOP ???

Because I wasn't thinking. Years of never having forwards or backs in the world's.

You should never pay (captain) a hooker until after their performance. Otherwise they have no incentive to perform.

Put Jamar on the bench as wasn`t sure how he`d go first week back

Also, forgot to name emergencies. :-[
Belgian Bashers
B: Grant Birchall, Bachar Houli, Dean Terlich 92, Brent Reilly
M: Joel Selwood (C), Trent Cotchin (VC), Marc Murphy 146, Matt Priddis 111
U: Jack Redden 108, Matt Rosa 68

Reading down the list I was getting excited seeing Terlich, Murphy, Priddis and Redden's scores but then it started to stink a bit through the middle. Bird was a good pick-me-up though!
9/786 - Lookin' at you Pyke and Buddy ya crabs.
Yes Jones as skip :)
Forget to name emergencies this week, but they would have been Hombsch, Crozier and Salem in that order (think Cassisi is the only other named player we had this week).
So, since O'Shea didn't play... would Hombsch come in?

I think you get the same emergencies as last week in that order (not certain though). Someone else can chime in and correct me if I'm wrong.

Ah, right.
I'll have to check who they were.
Well Jed Anderson, Lachie Plowman and Marcus Bontempelli were last week's emgs. Two didn't play this week and Plowman was in our team this week.

That makes things difficult. I guess we wait for what Holz/Spink say?
What a cracker of a round folks with some games going right down to the wire.
Sorry about the size again. I've been playing around with the format, but in the interests of getting the scores up quickly - here tis.

England, Belarus and Russia all lost :O
3 undefeated teams all losing :O
Metal are excited :D
Might let Holz rule on the emg thing Nigey. I don't really care either way - no big impact to the result. Bad luck on the result - good to see you trying a few things, unfortunately not much paid off!
Just one point regarding submissions to everyone generally - Can everyone please try and use first initials or teams when picking someone with a common surname. Had to go digging through the team lists more than I would have liked this week. Cheers

No worries mate, that's fine.
Didn't really try anything haha, did what I could with what we had. Had 19 to pick from if my maths is right. Few injuries here and there doesn't help.
Awful, awful week. We're in a bit of strife right now. Need to bounce back quickly!

Come on the Stallions!
Gotta say, I've been very impressed with the Stallions. Cut my teeth there as an assistant there back in the glory days of season 1, and was sad to see their fall from grace last year. Doing a great job at the helm Vin.
Thanks Spink! Although I cannot say I have done much but have been happy with how the team is tracking.
These are the three trades I'd made. Bit early to say if they have paid off or not! Except for the last one. :P
Spanish Stallions Trade: Lance Franklin + Rookie Pick #3
Belgian Bashers Trade: Andrew Swallow + Dale Thomas
Trade 2:
Spanish Stallions Trade: Jack Darling
Beralus Binson Trade: Harry Taylor
Trade 3:
Spanish Stallions Trade: Rookie Pick #31
Scotland Savage Sons Trade: Steven May + Scott McMahon
Another game we deserved to lose unfortunately. It's ok, the boys are just warming up for big ones post bye rounds :p
Best score so far and still lose Rory let us down a bit as Captain
But things appear to be looking up tho

Without being too accusational/controversial... It makes a difference when the new coach is playing to win *shifty eyes* :P
I can't really see properly Spink because I am on my phone, but did you give Sam Gibson 0?

Yep, lol. My bad - couldn't see Gibson - probably because he was sitting at the top with 134 points!
I will fix it in the next couple of days - doesn't affect the result...
Nice win Vinny.
Btw Spinks, do you have Gray as scoring 40 or 96 as in the graphic looks like you have him down as 40. Will boost our score a bit if so, but not enough to win.
Iceland have hit a slump :(.
Titans at 3-1, again smashing expectations! :D
