To complete the draw I need to have the rivalry round verified,

We have a number of new coaches so can you all have a look at the rivalries from last year and confirm whether you wish to continue the rivalry or establish a new rivalry.  Please confirm any new rivalries with new coaches and advising previous coach,

If you have a new trophy or want to instate a trophy please also advise,

Current Rivalry Round

1. Newcastle Falcons v Huddersfield Hawks (Raptors Cup)
2. Bradford Badgers v Crosby Cruisers
3. Winchester Warewolves v Hastings Hurricanes
4. Liverpool Lobsters v Staines Steins (LiveStein Cup)
5. Manchester Magic v Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs (Red Cross Cup)
6. Leeds Leeches v Nottingham Hoods
7. Bilston Bunnies v Swindon Swaggers
8. Grope Lane Giants v Swansea Breakers (Lion Shield)
9. Oxford Owls v Birmingham Bombers (Hiesenberg Cup)

Please respond in this thread and if no responses by Friday will assume Rivalry to stand and will complete the draw accordingly.  Round 7 will be the rivalry Round

I'll ask Colli and PB then. :)

Think it would be better considering that Colli and PB have more current premiership driven teams.

Whilst we are on a similar level with youth and all.

PB and Colli have agreed Ringo.

So the new rivals would go:

Werewolves vs Hurricanes

&

Owls vs Bombers.

Thanks :)

PB and Colli have agreed Ringo.

So the new rivals would go:

Werewolves vs Hurricanes

&

Owls vs Bombers.

Thanks :)

not sure if Ringo seen this

and Vinny and I are playing for the Hiesenberg Cup

One more thing before I publish the Draw.

Should any coach want a change of scenery or change of team names please advise.

Also if you wish to change your Home Ground please also advise.  I note Liverpool Lobsters and Oxford Owls both have Kassam Stadium listed as home ground.
Also have no home grounds listed for Grope Lane Giants or Blackpool Bunnies (Sydney Rox you may have advised but I have accidentally deleted it)

Here are the teams and Home Grounds as I have them:
Home Grounds
Birmingham Bombers - ST Andrew's Stadium
Blackpool Bunnies -
Bradford Badgers - Badger Village
Crosby Cruisers - Ewood Park
Grope Lane Giants
Hastings Hurricanes - Pilot Fields
Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs  - Todmorden Sports Centre
Huddersfield Hawks -  Galpharm Stadium
Leeds Leeches -  Elland Road Stadium
Liverpool Lobsters -  Goodison Park
Manchester Magic -  Old Trafford
Newcastle Falcons -  Chester-le-street Oval
Nottingham Hoods - Trent Bridge
Oxford Owls  -  Incheon Stadium
Staines Steins  -  Wheatsheaf Park
Swansea Breakers - Swalec Stadium
Swindon Swaggers -  The County Ground
Winchester Werewolves - The Rose Bowl

I don't give a shower! If the previous coach named them, then keep it. Let's change Essendon Bombers to the Essendon Dragons.

Sounds good to me better then the crappy Badgers

Dragons eat Badgers for Breakfast
Was that a joke? Dragons aren't real? I thought you knew that.

Settle Guys - Do not get Personal

As we have had a fair turnover of coaches this year I am giving everyone an opportunity to review their Team names and home grounds. If coaches take that opportunity it is their right to do so without question.

pfft, team names, who really cares. I would like to move my whole team to Plymouth, but I'm not coz it really makes no difference whatsoever to the strength/weakness of my team....

Also I don't want other getting confused either. Like now when you see Hurricanes, you go "the team with Dangerfield and nothing else." When you see Badgers "The cocky coaches but they actually have a good team." And for the Bombers "Crappy team with illiterate coach." And for the Owls "goodguy vinny with his team of young superstars (notably Tom Mitchell)"

PB you can become Plymouth Hurricanes if you wish.  As you took over as coach mid season and may want a new direction it is appropriate. Sydney Rox has relocated from Bilston to Blackpool.

Happy for that so just let me know.

You made 17 trades? That's probably why I didn't know you had Mitchell, I just remember trading him to the Owls. :)

Rocky > Dangerfield? What are you trying to prove? I really do not care who you think is better, all I said was he's the only player that my team has got, if anything I was paying out my own side... ::)

Nah Ringo it's fine, I'll stick with Hastings, it's nicely placed on the south coast of England, and so is Plymouth (On the western side however). And it doesn't really bother me at all, unlike some people. :o

Draw is now up on front page.

There may be some minor tinkering to even out HGA as I have not checked that at this point in time. Excluding the Rivalry round where we have no HGA there should be 8 home and 8 away games for all teams and I will check this.

If any one notices any other errors please advise me.

Sorry guys but this will now change draw completely so will have to be reposted in another few days and as such I will now take down the front page to re do,

Rams and Swaggers
Steins and Bunnies

I don't see how it'd change the whole draw though.

Both the Steins and Swaggers were playing away in rivalry round against the Rams and Bunnies respectively. Wouldn't you just have to swap them?  ???

Nay not that simple with the way the draw is done to get everyone playing everyone once as they are other rounds  as it effects all other matches between the 4 of you and hence draw needs to be redone. Rivalry Round was the pivot for the draw in the end.

let me know what you want to do as it can be changed as I have to just substitute the teams in the draw spreadsheet and then change the relative games.

Will change as it as I have to do some more work on equalising the home and away games there is a big discrepancy for a couple of teams so rejigging draw may make it easier to sort.

Revised draw is now up on the Front page following change in Rivalries between Rams, Swaggers, Steins and Bunnies and to make draw as even as possible.

All teams except 2 have 8 home and 8 away games. Could not get the draw 100% 8 and 8 no matter how hard I tried sorry.

Hey can someone tell me how the scores we get are converted to the scores on the front page of this thread/the ones used in the matches?

For example how did our 1420 become 22.19 (151) last week?

Or did I add ours up wrong when I did it?

It's always something I've wondered and never been able to work out.

Memph wat happens is scores are divided by 10 to convert to AFL type scores:

In your case I had your scores adding up to 1489 with Yeos 80 score for Hunter adding 19 for HGA made it 1508 which converted to 151. Hope that explains it for you.

Ah ok cool. So it was an error in my calculations. Which, now that I add it up again - I see that you are right.

If there is ever a time for us to get a win it is the upcoming weeks.

We play an under-manned Blackpool this week, then Birmingham in the Rd 8+9 bye week which works nicely for us as most of our players have a Rd 10 bye (Terlich, Spurr, Jack, Mzungu, Jetta, Tippett, Lester, Cunningham etc) then Grope Lane who are the other winless team and the Leedes (tough) and Liverpool.

If we can win 2 of those games I'll be happy.

Have updated Round 8 results and table.

Whilst there are 3 teams right out in front the next 10 teams are all capable of finishing in the Top 8 as well. Not a real difference in some % either.

Giants still the only team not to win a match.

Really have to look at Penalties for not naming teams for next season as naming previous weeks team is not a real penalty in some cases.

Table and results updated.

At half way stage of the season Top 3 look settled with at least a 2 game advantage over the 4th placed team. badgers currently in 4th with a game and % clear of 5th.

The race will be on over the next few rounds for final 4 positions in the 8 with 5 teams on 20 points and another 3 on 16 points. Some 8 point games will occur over the next few weeks to perhaps assist with sorting out the 8.

All teams have now also won at least 1 game with the Giants getting over the Steins.

Looking forward some upcoming matches.

Table has been updated after Round 10

You can see the effect the wins and losses have in the middle of the table.  We currently have 5 teams on 20 points occupying 7th - 11th position on 5 wins each separated by %. With a good % Hurricanes can put pressure on as well for a place in the 8.

Cruisers have quietly slipped into the 8 and are the big improvers this year.

Have updated Table.

With 5 rounds to go Werewolves appear to have secured minor championship only real challenge game on paper v Badgers Round 16

Top 6 are settled but order may change but who will fill the final 2 places?

Hurricanes play Hoods, Breakers, Owls, Bunnies and Magic
Cruisers play Breakers, Owls, Bunnies, Magic, Werewolves
Owls play Werewolves, Cruisers, Hurricanes, Hedgehogs, Swaggers
Leeches play Badgers, Rams, Falcons, Hawks, Steins
Couple of 8 point games coming up and Leeches appear to have the easiest draw of the 4. Percentage may still come into play.

yeah i'm not really concerned i know our best xv is good enough to push for the 8 we were crippled in the first 5 rounds having no ruck and had injuries all year we might be the closest to full strength this week we been all year hoping B Crouch and Hartlett are back only missing Titch then
