Title: SC 2014 Profile: Levi Greenwood

Levi Greenwood
Age: 24 (February 1989)
North Melbourne
Position: Midfielder
2013 Starting Price: 244,000
2013 Finishing Price: 397,000
2013 Games Played: 6
2013 Average: 92.17
2013 Highest Score: 120 vs Essendon Round 21
2013 Lowest Score: 69 vs GWS Round 14 (tagging role)

2012 Games: 5 Average 45.6
2011 Games 13 Average 57.6

Levi Greenwood is known as a inside ball winner/tagger who, after his first two years, has struggled to cement his place in North's best 22. But since Swallow has been injured he has performed remarkably well, and, tagging at the same time! I think, with Swallow out for half of next year, this guy is going to explode, the only thing turning me off is price, but should get a 10 percent discount for the amount of games he has played. Broke out in limited games this year, and I reckon, if he can keep Brad McKenzie out the team, should go absolujtely bang, Im locking him in if at a half decent price, but wont be. Doesnt score as well in DT as he does in SC as he is a inside player. That 92 average tempts me too much.

Verdict:A 92 average and Swallow out makes me excited, price only issue. I will be watching very keenly pre-season

Estimated Average based on my biased opinion: 100-105

Im back for this year, even though LF has done a stack of them, any requests PM me!

Don't think so.
Wont be keeping Mckenzie out of the team.

Man this guy can find the footy. So much ability but can't get a regular gig. Any other North supporters think he is safe in the 22 with Swallow out? If so, I will go close to starting him if priced well

I've been a fan of big Levi ever since he all showed us how to safely put on our track pants :P

He is a quality player and I really hope he gets an extended run in the team. His inside work is quality.

No room for Levi in my midfield next year when I am going to be starting with Ablett, Pendles, Selwood, Dangerfield, Watson   8)

One word, NO

Could average anything from 50-90.

Yeah he's a very good little inside nuggety player, and along with Hine our only taggers.

tbh I still don't see him playing 22 but you never know what will happen with injuries etc to open the door. Should start with Swallow out but will be interesting to see who gets pushed out and where Luke McDonald along with other recruits slot in.

Another thing to keep in mind is if we land Dal Santo that all of a sudden has Dal, Basti, Cunners, Ziebell, Wells, Harvey, McDonald, Hine, McKenzie etc all competing for spots

He is unlikely to be in my starting team, if he can get into North's 22 and prove himself he may become a lowly priced upgrade option.

Yeah very good get mate!

If you could predict one of my WXV players to break out in 2015 that would be fantastic.

Is Levi more or less likely to improve his output at Collingwood? Could be an intriguing choice mid-season next year

would think it would effect him early as he learns new game plans. would slot into beams role, so could go well with pendles taking the tag

As much as I really hate to say it, was coming into his own, and his finals have me a little concerned for what he will offer the Pies going forward. Especially his second half against Essendon, was phenomenal and dragged North over the line.

On one hand, I wish him all the best. On the other, I hope he flops and wishes he stayed at the club that nurtured and developed him, and watches North competing for a flag in a few years while his side misses the 8.

Im thinking he might increase his output. Was used as a tagger quite a few times at North resulting in some average scores. When let lose he went nuts. With macaffer already at Pies you wouldnt think he'd have too many negating roles

But with Macaffer gone for most/if not all next year I suppose he'd be given that run with role again..

If not I may jump on, priced at a 94 average so will only cost you around $510k next year.. Could pump out 105+ very easily.

However that price is awkward, and I dunno whether I'd splurge that much on him.

Surely you wouldn't give a player 400k to play a run with role though man?

Definitely will be an interesting option but I think I'll pass.

He did all this year mate, wasn't a tagger as such but ran with the oppositions best mid and kept them honest while hurting them the other way.,

Caff said he will be right for Round 1 at this stage due to a later start to the season so may not need to worry on that front

Macaffer did his ACL mid August so the earliest he will be back after the 9 month layoff is late May - early June and the season starts  at the beginning of April which means he will miss the first 8-10 weeks of next year unless he comes back before that time which could be a risk having previously done it before.

Football Director Rodney Eade said the club would target an April or May return for Macaffer despite the midfielder saying at last week's best and fairest he was targeting a round one return.

Obviously I am aware mate... just telling you what Caffer said himself...

+1. In my XVIII's team. I think Dunstan will assume the Lenny Hayes role next season and kill it (just a second Ollie Wines)  :)
