After compiling a weekly Team of the Week (http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,78733.msg1072250.html#msg1072250), consisting of the best performed players of each round, here is the 2013 All-Asian Team! This team consists of the highest averaging players of each position for the 2013 AXV season, with the criteria being that they had played over 10 games this season.

Congratulations to all players that earned a nomination, in particular Steve Johnson who was chosen to captain the team being the highest-averaging player in the SportsBet competition this year, with Dane Swan elected as his vice after a stellar season.

The votes have been cast! Here are the results of the inaugural AXV Rising Star Award!

Based on a 5-4-3-2-1 voting system, 12 of the 16 AXV coaches cast their votes on who they believed to be the best player under 21 years of age with under 10 games of experience heading into the 2013 season. With a maximum of 60 votes to be awarded to each player, here are the top three Rising Stars of the AXV competition!

In a very close finish to the 2013 season the Mongolian Lambs stole the minor premiership over the Taiwan Dolphins who lead the race for most of the season, leading in points for most of the season the Lambs were not to be denied as they climbed the ladder relentlessly over the back half of the season this award in the end was inevitable.

Congratulations to coach Toga on an outstanding season.

That is how the silly British do it :)

I personnaly feel that the ladder position is a better reflection of a teams performance over the season than the result of one or two games during finals.

we can vote to change it, but i think the ladder as in the AFL is a better reflection of draft pick order.

you want to be mr super dooper i finished top of the ladder......

imo - i still think the ladder is a better reflection of team quality than the finals results which may be (ESPECIALLY IN FANTASY) effected by rested players and injury.....

still we set a charter to be as AFL like as possible in AXVS and that we must abide by.

Was there ever any doubt? After an amazing debut season, over which he played all 20 games and was recognised in the AXV Team of the Week on a couple of occasions, Bangkok young gun Jaeger O'Meara has been recognised by the league's opposition coaches as the best young player in the competition. Congratulations on a fantastic debut season Jaeger, and a message to Bangkok's opposition - beware of this kid!

It is an award not unlike the brownlow, however votes are calculated on the best performer in each AXVS game each round on a 3-2-1 basis.

The award reflects the player each game that had the biggest impact on the game.

Being that the best way to help your AXVS team win is to score the most, the players are awarded points on their AXVS scores each game each round.

The Brownlow is different it is based on who the umpires think was BOG 3-2-1 our Great Khali is based on who was best each game for their respective AXVS club, no way a player can be better for his AXVS club than scoring the most points.....

Watch Swanny and Cloke bring it home from here, starting to poll strongly.

Nest season this award may be awarded based on who performed best in each AXVS match - RATHER THAN each AFL match.

This is the better way to do it for our competition however required more administration.

I will be set up to do it this way next season, for this season, it is the best player in each AFL match.

Yes this season the award is flawed but it will have to do, as i said we will be set up for it next season to be based on each AXVS game not AFL game.

Still I have looked at that in the last two weeks leading up to these awards and the main thing is that the ultimate winner - WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT,

so while the total list of players and votes would be different - THE EVENTUAL WINNER WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN.

that is important for historical sake.

Just read through - Well done to Gaz winning two awards in the regular season but what the flower were you doing in our finals campaign mate.

Essentially ruined any chances he had with his poor performances. Also Kreuzer being out just as he'd cemented his spot as VC didn't help either.

PS - The doc, while still a spiritual member, is long gone from the coaching staff at the Dolphins.
