Bad luck mate, Few positives for North
- Aaron Black was very good for you
- Boomer is back
- Cunnington looked dangerous up forward

Yep guess you always gotta look at the positives hey?

Whipping boy Hansen played one of his best games in the blue and white tonight, personally I think he only played due to the eagles tall forward line and looks a lot better as the third tall in defence rather than forward, which ties into what you said about Blacky. Having Petrie, Black and Daw up front means Hansen misses out and re-re-invents himself to play where he used to play and belongs. Intercept marking was top notch

Very unfortunate for North. Ultimately the decisions were 'technically' correct but it still hurts.

So, 3-5...Long road to finals from here - What does the draw look like? Realistic record going into the bye..?

Realistically could win them all Sid. Saints impressed me Monday night so not as easy as I had previously thought, Crows never easy but at the moment I'd have us pencilled in just over them. Then the Suns we should get over at this stage

Tonight was big in the course of shaping how we sit at the bye. Real shame.

So could be 6-5 at the rd 12 bye but wouldn't be all that surprised if we dropped 1 of those 3, then A huge stretch: dockers, giants, tigers, lions then the blues on Friday night. That little section will probably define whether we play finals or not.

Gee, that would hurt. Would hate to be a player facing Brad Scott right now!

This week would not be as frustrating as it would be gut wrenching

4 matches = combined losing margin of 10 points, against 4 2012 finalists.

...... I'm worried about every North supporter making it through the night

i reckon there are 3 problems:

1. stamina- we're clearly not running out games well

2. hard bodies- when it matters, we're getting knocked off the ball and falling apart. swallow is left to do too much.

3. leadership- once again, when it matters, once agin, swallow is left to do too much.

we look great when we're winning, but these 3 things let us down when it matters...

Yep those three stand out, also a whole lot of it would surely have to be mental by now...

Attack attack attack, sometimes I feel we need to shut the game down for 5 mins or so and not worry about everyone running forward trying to be the hero and run both ways to get back in defence and stop the momentum. Countless amounts of games lost in the last few years when the opposition only really outplayed us for 10-15 mins but put on plenty of goals. If we'd shut down the tempo in those games we'd have finished better last year and well and truly be in the 8 (not naive enough to say we'd have won all 4 close ones and be top 4). Even the Sydney game was 1 bad quarter, although that's a bit different.

Easier said than done though

Well to me North has been one of the best teams in the comp besides those last quarters where they give up these huge leads. They should be top 4 right now. I feel sorry for them, 4, 3, 2 and now a 1 point loss. I guess that means a draw comes next for them?

A draw against the Saints that may well be the end of me haha
