We have just welcome two new members to the club.

Finally Jayman is back after his short period earlier this season and we welcome a new comer in Adamant.

Both good coaches and should help me in several aspects :)

A long and waited update to the Sons. In the national draft, we had 6 picks within the top 36 and 5 Within the top 26. With these picks we have selected the best talent in the land.

These include:

The best ruckman in the land Brodie Grundy.

Talented youngster and pick number 8 overall, Sam Mayes

The best defender in draft and second top DT scorer in U18's champs being Jackson Thurlow

Highly rated kid in Tim Broomhead

And West Australian great talent, Josh Simpson

We believe we have recruited the best talent in the land and will help the current squad push towards premierships in the future.

And with pick 34 we were able to snatch highly rates youngster and pick 14 overall, Aiden Corr

I honestly think this will help the side. Needed another strong defender. Sam Mayes will be the highest averaging forward of the comp next year. Simpson should get some sort of DPP. Grundy will be number one ruck at Collingwood in the near future. Things look on the rise 8)

And still have the rookie picks :D

I woudl be happy to bet against Mayes being the highest averagign forward rookie next year. Quite a few ahead of him in my opinion.

The sons have recruited a gun trio. These 3 players will be the future of the club and is encouraging for years to come 8)

The inclusion of Oliver Wines, the highly rated youngsters going 4th in the Euros National Draft, Reece Conca, a very highly rated youngster coming into his third and breakout year and young gun in Nick Suban who will provide good bench cover in the defence.

Getting these 3 on board is great for the club as they strive for a premiership in a few years 8)

Hahahaha, 'Suban' and 'gun' should never be in the same sentence... Unless the sentence reads as "Nick Suban is about as useful as a toy gun without ammo or a trigger."

I personally though lez owned that trade :P

We know but we lost a hack and midfield depth for a premium forward and rookie pick upgrades.

Grimes will be mid only in 2014 if he isn't in 2013, not too fussed there ;)

For my trading period I have brought in 48 different players/picks and have traded 51 different players/picks haha.

Big trading and I think I have made the team stronger :P

And with that we welcome Joel Selwood as the new leader of our club, Travis Boak as a top midfielder at the club and Matthew Jaesch as a cover up defender.

Good news to the sons as they just strengthened their team. Good work by Adamant getting the trade over the line :)

Announcement:

As of the 25/07/14, Scotland's Savage Sons are under new management. After a bit of quiet conversation behind the scenes of the European XVs competition, Holzman - the administrator of the competition informed NigeyS, the current co-coach of the Dutch Dinos that his request for a team of his own had been granted.

The reason for outgoing coach whatlez's departure is unknown at this stage. The future of Nige's former team, the Dinos is currently unknown as well. With a new coach comes a lot of speculation, such at the moves he'll make and those he will appoint to help him. It has come to light that Jayman has been appointed as assistant.

Speculation is rife that new coach Nige is keen on changing name of the team, but to honour the legacy of his two predecessors - BGK and whatlez, he will likely named club awards after them as he feels their commitment and work at the club should not be disregarded. It is understood that NigeyS has immediately transitioned and will finish out the current season with the Sons.

Not to mention this comp kinda lacks a few rules.

Yeah lez informed me that he wanted to step down as head coach and I have been in contact with Nigey for a while about this and felt he was the right man for the job. At this stage I'm looking after the dinos for the last 2 weeks.
