The whole not being able to see their stats from the last few years. Quite annoying really, it's not just with Carlton players since I noticed a few others yesterday
No No.1 Only applies to Carlton players, No.2 applies to most players.
I quite liked having all the stats from previous years...
No. 1 was for all players at one point, perhaps m0nty fixed it and didn't bother with Carlton. I can understand that :)

Actually scored -1 in SC in Round 8.
Yeah, a lot of m0nty's SC stats are one or two off. I think it's because (correct me if I'm wrong m0nty) that you take the SC scores when they are first released by the Herald Sun website but BEFORE they are finalised on the Supercoach website.

The SC scores are as they appear after the last stat adjustment.
My bad! You're right m0nty! And Q is wrong, Kane Lucas scored 0 in round 8 not -1 - says so on your site, and the SC. I retract my statement :)
I checked in the Archive though, and in Round 8 it says that he scored -1, and on his Profile it says he scored 0?

SC site has him on 0. Archive must be wrong
The player database as it appears on the profile pages is the permanent record, the game archives link to the live scoring pages and thus are temporary. I had a few issues mid-year with getting SC scores right for technical reasons but the player database is the superior record.

In that same thread, Matthew Kreuzer's score in SC is different to what it says on his Profile. Infact so is Judd's, Simpsons and I'm guessing all of theirs :P
EDIT: It's not only Blues players, in that same game, Davenport has a different score on his profile, check Hitchcock as well, also a different score.

If you go to your profile settings I think you can autodetect your time zone and get the clock right.

I tried to autoload my Supercoach team in ExTeam and... it's loaded a really random assortment of players. I tried updating it, and nothing changed. Is this a known thing?
I'm having the same issue. Trying to auto-load Super Coach team only to get random players. Tried several times. Used this heavily last season so hope I can get some advice or it can get fixed soon.
Just the same as what has happened last year, the Adelaide delayed scores stop updating then update at half time with the full time result....... If you want people to pay for an app i suggest you fix this as its ruining the game for people trying to watch it on delayed telecast......

Yeah it's not working for me either.
I can enter my DT and SC ok, but when I try and view it I'm missing players.
Also I can't remove my teams, previously I could deactivate it and it would disappear but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

On the player proflie pages the "2011 FANTASY SCORING BY ROUND" table is one rd ahead of its self for the players which have had a bye already.
also Monty can you put in the rounds they have a bye instead of just skipping those rds

I have also fixed the delay so that if something screws up, you get the earliest file, not the latest one, so no spoilers from the end of the game any more. Getting them to line up is the bane of my life though, having a server in North Carolina means I have to deal with two sets of daylight savings and it drives me mental. >:(

All Essendon and Adelaide players DT scores are wrong in their profile pages.
e.g. Andy Otten says 70 when he scores 76.
Only seems to be the case for this particular game.
^ I remember noticing the same with heppell. Screws up their BE calcs as well.
I am currently using the Forum or Board Default, and i have noticed that when i send PM's (and i'm not sure about posting) and when i choose for something to be Italics, it ends up being Bolded, and vice-versa. and i did double check that i clicked the right button.

Game archive bug report:
When you click on the Game hyper-link at the top of the site, and it takes you to the seasons archive games... You will notice that when you scroll down to last weekends game that they are actually under the subtitle of 2011 Qualifying Final.
I presume this is an automatic feature from past seasons to which it would be finals time. However, given we have 24 rounds this season, it is a little bit off.
maybe I missed something really obvious, but round 23 and 24 aren't in the game archive... like, at all...
Quite happy with Round 24 being left off the map.

Can not pick ruck bench in Fan Planner? Am I missing something or is it just a basic error.
Can only pick squad of 28?
If I do add ruck it trades them not adds.
You aren't the only person who has reported this so it isn't you. Be patient and I am sure it will be fixed soon.

I had similar problems but when I used the pick all rucks it was ok. Think it was that if you pick a dual ruck position may count as ruck rather than the dp.
Worked ok when adjusting team as well.

There is a Javascript/DHTML bug when using Chrome Browser that I can see.

When I hover over the Game/Players/Help/Account menus, the hover menu appears over to the far left of the screen instead of under the menu item.
Chrome now has more market share than Firefox now and is only getting bigger, so worth supporting it if you can.

You have to upload your picture on to an image hosting site, like imageshack or photobucket. Then you copy the link to that photo and put it between [img ] [ /img] (without the spaces)

basically, when you search for a player (for example, chris Judd), it comes up with their afl DT details, and SC details. However, for some reason, these details are identical (and duplicates of the DT details).
once again, example judd: it says he had both a DT and SC 2011 average of 102.5, but if you scroll down to the stats by years you'll see he had a SC average of over 115.
it's just awkward/ misleading... confusing as well if you don't know it's there.

There is a button to clear your watchlist on your Exteam list page. That's the one you need to press.
Minor issue where Gary Ablett's FF page has no stats recorded for rounds 1 and 2. Only saying this because I was looking for his score progression :P

Collingwood only have 21 players. I believe that the debutant Williams is the missing player.
I also believe Port had 21 playes last week vs North, never found out who the missing player was though. :(
Also noticing that players are changing in price after 2 games in DT, but not in SC.

I have always had that problem. Then Chrome started getting smart and actually letting me stay logged in permanently so it saves the hassle...
But yeah, never lets me sign in with the top left corner box and I always have to retype my password in the place it refers me to.
I use chrome. I dont have that problem :s

I'm having trouble accessing the 2012 game archive- been having issues with it for a while, but atm it just doesn't exist.
In the player profile there is an error with a call feature showing up in the Career Fanfooty Statistics / Annual Total

found another bug- traded players don't show the news in their match history, except for matchs against the club they got traded to. For instance, broughton doesnt show that he was subbed in round 16

I have Chrome and was getting the same message. I also get it on the team lists page. I tried IE and it worked fine.
Also on Chrome - got it today, just sitting on the home page.

Exteam watchlist feature not working, m0nty?
Havcent been able to load the FF website on any computer on my home internet for about 2 months, no matter what browser, computer or phone, but here I am at my Pops place and Im posting. Really need to know whats going on, every time its been saying "cant connect to remote server" its not that my internets faulty or anything. I feel its something to do with the actual website.

Italics still make your text bold. I really want to use italics sometimes... :(
Player listings still show some players with DPP when they do not eg Stewart shown as B/F as too is Goldsack. Both are forwards only.
These are minor bugs, that only affect a few diehards. Don't die waiting for a change.

Title says it all, cant acess any of the stats, just the scores. Im not even using the m in front of it? ???
I'm having trouble loading the live score page on my phone and if it does load it only has the fantasy scores which is annoying i liked seeing all the stats
There is a problem with one of the ads, it is screwing up the score updates for a small number of users. I will try to fix it this week.

I was hoping to follow tonight's Adelaide vs West Coast DT/SC scores on delay. One problem, and one suggestion i have.
Firstly, it didn't work after qtr time. Was fine and runnign perfectl until then, but once teh 2nd qtr started it wouldn't move.
Secondly, thepage it goes to is that with the DT scores and teh live blog on the side. Would it be possible to change that to the Stats page instead, so all the stats can be seen? The match blog is still along the bottom so that wouldn't go missing. :)

On a serious note- something I've noticed is that live scores/ chat during games don't come up when you're running an adblocker, the only thing that comes up are the match previews.
I mean, I've just disabled my adblocker for the site, but I thought I'd mention it.

I have updated the hover box over player names in the live chat to include AFL Fantasy prices. Plus the positions are correct now.
As for Adblocker screwing up the updates, I guess that's because it messes with the JavaScript, which is necessary to get the stats. Solution: don't run Adblocker! 8)

I have a solution for that (needed that for my captains stuff).
Right click anywhere on the table and choose "inspect element" (might be called something different in different browsers), find the bit that says:

and change the bit after font-size to say something smaller (I've found 0.4em or 0.35em works well) so you should have this:

That will fix your problem!

Agree with Rico here We have a number of Match Day threads for announcements etc and still get these issues.
Whilst the Idea is good we have Match Day threads in the AFL front bar but this board is not visited as much as the players and trades boards hence why there is a post in each board for the Round announcements, So think it is something we will have to wear. TBH Rico was tempted to merge all these threads into yours.
Like, I get this probably isn't the right way to go about it... but it might be the only way for people the to learn.
Make the said announcements thread where ALL ins and outs must be discussed (along with their fantasy relevance).
Failure to do so results in a warning, if the offend again, they'll get suspended.
Only thing is they aren't generally regular posters and it's more annoying than something that is actually wrong and ban worthy. Fear that if you start handing out warnings and bans you'll push people away.

I'm thinking along the lines of friendly reminder/tough love and that it kinda scares them into it and that it doesn't have to come to warnings or suspensions.
Maybe m0nty needs some kind of little pop-up with really basic forum rules for members of a certain rank. Although I understand that this is waaaaaaaaaaaaay easier said then done, but I don't think throwing out a few suggestions does any harm. :)

Just had a thought myself, I know a lot of people around the forums are mainly interested in the AFL but I'm sure there are many that also pay a lot of interest to their respective state leagues (SANFL, VFL, WAFL, NEAFL)... So I was thinking what about some child boards in the AFL section for discussion re: state leagues?
Would be a good way to promote some discussion & banter between supporters, but also would probably be a good place to find out details of players playing in AFL reserves sides. Not sure if everyone will like this idea but I think it'd be cool!

I have no idea what's going on, but it's pretty frustrating.

I had no idea how to put it into words, but you nailed it. If the FF page doesn't occupy more than like 50% of the screen it just gets flowered for me, which is annoying as I always split screen shower

Went to Profile --> Modify Profile --> Look and Layout --> Time Offset: -0.22 (I'm like 12-13 mins behind so this got me roughly on normal time).
May have to play around a bit to get your timing correct but should be around that number.

Hmm, maybe I can resurrect my GoldDigger or Prospector chat accounts?? I can't retrieve the password for GoldDigger on chat, and Prospector is still banned (is that a record?)
I think alot of those banned are still banned (after years) unless they have PMed m0nty or something Pros :-X.
Who was Pros banned? Weren't you a mod?
Prospector was banned in 2011, when he decided there was no support his efforts to get some nasty stuff stopped on the chat. He was the only mod in the forums, there were none in the chat. He deleted his account in the forum, and was banned in the chat. Since then, he has been known as GoldDigger and J.Worrall. GoldDigger cannot retrieve his chat password. Prospector remains banned in chat. He will not apologise for actions that have led to improvements to the site.
As a result of the contretemps with Prospector, m0nty instituted a system of mods for both the chat and the forums, which seems to have worked extremely well. However, imho, m0nty's busy life has meant that the current mods are now inadequately supported, and without sufficient power to intervene with the strength they need.
The time has come again, m0nty, to review how you manage the site. I strongly recommend that you devolve some more of your power to the mods, and the new "chat managers" like Ben Gogos and so on. The banhammer MUST be available to them. Maybe by vote or some such system, but devolve the power mate.
Have you not noticed how few of the key elders of the site no longer go on chat? Have you not seen how hard people like Ringo work to support your site, your investment and your profits? They do it out of love for the game, the site and the on-line community that has grown from your work.
It'd be nice to be myself again, but actually, I'd be more interested in seeing you seriously support the guys who are trying so hard to support you and keep this site together. Time to trust them, m0nty - they are good folk who are up to the task.

Think chat mods do have the power to ban people who are out of hand :). Forum mods do not thus far, or to even give temporary bans.

Barely use the match chat, better to use Matchday on the forums and not deal with too much mouthing off.
I'm not sure if this has been raised before, or if it is just me, but I'm having trouble positing long pieces of text.
If I wanted to prepare an elaborate piece to post, I'd often do it on Word Document, the copy and paste it in. When doing the post, it says all my text is there, even in the preview. But then when I post, I find that half or more has just been left off, even though it says when I go to modify, that it's all there... Was wondering if anyone knows.. anything about this?

is it the punctuation issue?
Often when copy-pasting punctuation such as apostrophes, it will cut off right before that specific bit of punctuation because it just does :P
Gotta type your long posts directly into your FF message just to be safe haha
Yeah, a copy and paste issue many suffer through :(. Only way to solve it for now is as Davey said.
Idk how to handle it, so will let m0nty handle it sometime in the off season when he has the time :).

I meant more in his specific case, where he's creating his own long posts in Word and copying it over to FF. I always do what you do when copy/pasting, dw

Two issues since the new format (looks great by the way Monty).
1. I play Mr Football on chrome - games won't load.
2. I tried to use IE but I can't log in on the FanFooty front page with IE as there is no login button.

Yeah just go into your extensions, and there's likely been one added and enabled that's doing that. Also do a PC scan just to make sure there's nothing else. And remove any unknown recently installed software.

On the player search results page, or in player's individual season pages, the new top bar shrinks a little and text in the login and search fields becomes invisible. If I enlarge using browser zoom, all player pages break, with content that should be hidden (menus, full team icon sheets) displaying instead.
Firefox 31, and a 1024x600 screen so I may be getting served a mobile version.

Yeah, the SMF people are singularly unhelpful on this bug.

Yep there is a 30 second rule in place between posts basically to stop spamming. Only a real problem if you are replying to a couple of posts quickly so bear in mind.

Must have missed it the first time. I just tried to delete a random poll as well and got the same thing, so looks to be a system bug.
Took a look around and fiddled a bit, but everybody has the ability to delete their own polls, but it won't let me delete mine/others anyway (even tried under certain conditions for the poll). So I'm guessing it's the system so will have to let m0nty handle it PB :(.
Yep it is I tried to delete a poll as well and could not so must be a system issue as you say HP. Looks like onlky users who set up the poll can delete. Even tried closing the poll but could not delete.
FIxed that Gigantor problem. It was due to the Exteam feature, as his team's name was blank.

I assume this is a bug, so I'll post it here.
Tried to log in to the forum on my phone yesterday and kept getting 'username does not exist' error.
I'm not sure if it's because my password may have been incorrect. I'm always signed in on my laptop/desktop and so I've forgotten my password because of that (tried every password I thought it could have possibly been).
Could it possibly have something to do with when HP changed my forum name from NigeyS to Nige?

Yeah, they are correct. I gave everybody options of changing their usernames as well (but requires me to change your password at the time, but you can change it back when you sign in).
If you still can't log in Nige, I can change the password for you to get back into your account for your phone, just hit me up with a PM. And I can let you choose the password so can just keep it.

When I'm on the main page, and across the top there are the following options: Info, Tools, Blog, Forum, Premium. When I move my cursor over the top of Forum, I see all the forum boards. However i can't scroll down, and because there are so many options I can't pick anything below the AFL team boards. So Front Bar, Coaches, Feedback etc I can't click on because they are hidden, and scrolling down doesn't help that out either.
When I try to view Goldstein's 2014 stats, I get this error:

m0nty, I even know what the problem is and how to fix it. The problem is the "." in the URL which has to appear because it's in the players' names. If you remove that "." and just make them "Josh P Kennedy" and "Josh J Kennedy", you'll fix the problem. Of course, I have no idea how you do that, but surely it's not difficult or time consuming?!

Noticed this all year but haven't said jack about it but when you scroll onto a player in live scores over the weekend the stats for RDT are all messed up ie avg price etc and is it possible to have dpp positions for those players that have it in there aswell.

Not sure if there is a glitch in the system or not but my phone logged out of fan footy (full site) and won't let me relog back in... says wrong password which is BS... also tried resending password info by email but says too many connections and won't go there.

Very weird. I've resolved it myself by trying something different... phone said wrong password...would you like to update it and got straight in without any further password prompts/ changes. Just deleted my last post but think maybe I should've left it there in case others have similar issues. Got a bug of my own, following the FF Match Centre, any game. It won't update at the end of a qtr. so like now it says: Q1 30:11 and it stays like that until I hit refresh on the entire browser. Not even data refresh fixes the problem, has to be F5 and refresh the entire browser.

So yeah I've noticed this as well,I want to bold something and it ends up back next to previous line rather than the spot I want it at,I've found that I have to space it then moving the cursor to the spot I want to bold and it ld fine but it is a pain in the butt having to do it that way.

m0nty now things have eased up just a quick question how come when I'm logged in at the very top it says " G'day shaker your Taddy's Titans plan team is in focus " when it is not my team when I click on it , it tells me I cannot view because it is not my team ? it has been like this for a very long time and curiosity has finally got me ?
I reckon that is long enough for a reply to my question m0nty maybe someone else a mod or someone with the same thing happening can answer why Taddy's Titans is my team apparently ::)
Try contacting him via twitter mate, has to see it then.
Don't use twitter mate so I guess I will just forget about it guess m0nty has no interest in it , so Grazz when you are logged in what team name do you get?
If i'm looking where I think I should be mate, top right hand corner above log out from Grazz I've just got "change team in focus"

When I use to play around with fanplanner a few years ago this happened occasionally. Think it's just a glitch, hopefully Grazz can get onto m0nty!

That's because the focus system is part of the old design which I haven't worked on for years, and the forum hasn't been updated to the new design. Disregard it. :)
Specifically, the reason is that I clean out the fanplanner database every year and the ID number of that team must match your old one, or something. An ID number issue, anyway.

Over the last year I have found that the emoji buttons in the bar above have stopped working for me....I can put them manually :) by typing the relevant keyboard buttons
Other buttons such as bold, italics, etc and the ability to use tools such as changing color no longer work for me either... I can still do such things by typing in manually. the relevant keys such as [b...
The other thing that has stopped working for me is the ability to insert quotes in a post.
I can quote posts and comment and do the basics but seems the things I used to do are failing on me one by one.
May be the computer set up I have, think that's likely, but thought maybe onthe off chance it wasn't and others were experiencing the same then it was worth posting here.
It's no biggie, as I can live without these things, however if it can be fixed easily then that'd be great.

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I have a lot of trouble posting on the site, either on the in game chat or the forum, usually the first time doesn't work and I have to do it again, does anyone else have this issue? Have tried being patient but sometimes it doesn't get posted, if I do it twice usually works strait away
I am unable to enter my team on the site. I even tried using fanplanner and entering names one at a time, but the list of players available is incorrect.
Anyone else finding it takes for ever to open up pages ? only noticed it today it's not my laptop or the internet speed because all other sites are still fast ?
Is there any plan to fix the bugs with this site post the change of web host / whatever upgrade occurred during the year or too much time required?
So many broken links now which is a shame as it's a great site to use for doing research when it's working but not much has for quite some time.

Worth a bump - would be great to have the search functionality restored as well as the player notes for games in 2021.
I also found the RSS feed for player notes and fantasy scores very useful.
Love the site and would be great to see it restored to its former glory.
