Not the best Youth Team though, wow HP, how much money have you pumped into your Youth Team?
Not alot. Most expensive buy currently in my youth team is maybe 10k I think. The academy is stuck on improving but might be downgraded to steady for a week or two until funds can be made 8).
Also, some luck with youth pulls help :P.
I've had really bad youth pulls but my youth ranking is improving.
A quick question. How do they work out Match Ratings?
Not sure. Think they include experience, fatigue and relevant skills.
Also, reesbr is behind me Valk :). Think you thought he would get than me in everything :P.

That's what I did in my first season!!! About 1/3 of my first team was from my original buys a long time ago (McFarlane, De Smeth, Goss, Mayne) 8).
Buy and Build was my old motto :P. Hopefully they'll turn into guns for you ;D.
I actually think my group of players have lot of potential. Won't be buying a lot over the next season or two, if these guys fail I will pull a heppa :P
I can only keep Darya for another couple of seasons though :'(

Because it's an average of the last 8 weeks, and I have been going up each week, I am hoping to keep climbing by EOS
Now I'm rating about 132k with the non experienced Squad. Been rising every week due to pops to my team :).

The Dibs thread is massive and it's hard to get through them all and remember who has dibs on who. I try and if I bid on someone's dibs then just tell me and I'll stop bidding.
With all the dibs though, I think there should be a limit to the amount of dibs a person can have at a time. It would make it easier for everyone.

True, but at EOS there will be some people who but 5-10 players in the space of a week :-\
Limits arent really needed but its got to be within reason. You cant dibs 5 players who are going to go for 100k each... Its not logical.
Yeah, instead of a limit on amount of players it should be amount of money spent. Like a certain percentage of your available funds.

EOS is a different story. How long does EOS go for?
Not long. Technically EOS is virtually nothing I think but then there is the off-season (week of nothing) and SOS.
EOS is probably where we are now.
People are getting rid of 19 y.o's and clearing out those no longer needed (older players). Easy to pick up bargains if chosen wisely.
The week gap between seasons is more of the off season. A break from FTP.

have improved quite alot since last time as have a number of you that i have noticed.
My rankings aren't changing much at the moment as i'm playing a lot of youths....
the exp will help them out mate. just make sure they are players that will play seniors once the are ineligible for youths. otherwise it would be pointless

BOOMZ will usually beat most people in T20 has a few older guys with really high power and dominates the T20 format.
Cookie, CC would tear you to freakin' shreds. It is like you saying you are better than Ash, or Delhi Darewhackers (or whatever that team is)
CC is VERY good and would beat EVERYONE on FF 10 times out of 10.
Actually I have hardly any good T20 guys anymore :( Sold them... Wegener & Farnsworth are alright but the rest only have ordinary power.

Yeah, I heard that the Rankings were based on the average of the last 8 weeks or something...
Last 8 weeks of match ratings. They probably didn't count any from this week so from the last 7 weeks in theory ;).

Thanks fletch, i realised that in 8 weeks my rankinga will actually be any good as at the start i sucked and my team wasnt getting any better. So if i rest will that affect my rankings for 8 weeks?

yeah i reckon Hello. i forgot to change orders for last youth match so he was not included in that game, and still got match ratings of 77k. Peter Ten Dam will excel for me this year. NExt season project player. Casperson is good hell, i have looked at him a few times

ATM yes, as I can get promoted this season.
I have no chance in SOD or T20. We'll see what league I'm in next season for Youths, and if so I'll aim to just stay up, then focus on SOD and T20 as I believe that the 2 worst teams from Div 3 that come down to Div 4 will be beatable next season.
i cant get promoted coz i suck, and ill probably get relegated, i hope so it will be a bit easier :D

You will need a superior+ youth academy to be able to train a average/average with ordinary secondaries to be a decent play to make seniors, and those players cost like 500k and the investment are high, and still rarely you pull them.
its based on luck, you might pull a few now just means in few seasons time you will have pulled 0 more to make up for it.

Not all your money, but there is proof that investing in Youths is a waste of money unless you have a high end academy like lavish/deluxe and abit of luck with pulls (or loads of cash to begin with).
invest in seniors what you can afford but still make a slight profit.
few things i can say here, (you should read the article)
1. seniors = 10-12yrs of training
youths = only 4
2. SOD/T20 = 8x more money at 3x that cost. meaning wages on average are 3x higher in seniors then that of youths, but you make 8x the money which easily covers it (not sure about the exact figures but its close enough)
and IMO much more fun.
In saying that i think youths are totally waste of money and its proving in ROB's article but i still think training 16yr old and being competitive in youths would be nice, so once im in Div 2 or 1 depending on my finance i will start to invest, but until then im going pure seniors and putting all my money into it so i get up there quicker.

Makes sense Cookie, but I'm only investing 15k in Youths, and 25k in seniors ATM. That's only cos of the promotion issue. Next year will be different as I know that I have a chance of being promoted in SOD and T20.
No point this year for me. My aim is to have all 3 of my teams in Div 3 by the end of next season

My rankings have been inconsequential to my season plan. Plenty of 2nd teir and youth players getting a gig in T20 and SOD to the detriment of the rank but longer term good. Most teams I have in my two leagues have match ratings in the spudly zone so it's been ok to experiment - haven't lost a game yet. Toughest assignment yet this week facing the two strongest competitors in T20 and SOD but my best match ranking of 125k should account for both. I have the games at home and have set pitches in my favour and against where they perform best.
Youth have risen with little Academy input and only one youth pull kept this season. Youth match rating season high of 61k.

Fletch is bound to catch up as mine are holding steady ;). I like steady as I should stay in Youth 1.1 for 1-2 more seasons.
