Put Goddard ahead of GAJ, cost me 2/4 GF's, lost them both by 100, they both had GAJ as capt.
GAJ outscored Goddard as capt by 150ish points, cost me 2 wins :-(
Ahwells, I won the 2 main leagues (bragging rights at Work, and a plaque with my name on it :P)
another hand up, but I was already out of finals contention.
Had used Goddard successfully for a few weeks, so stuck with that.
Never doubt the little master in a time of need.
* hand up. And this is where I got lucky. Made Selwood captain, and Ablett's vice-captain goodness came into play.
yeah me too stuck with swan won my 1st league against my brother who is brat pack on here by 11 he had goddard in my second league against my brother in law lost by 24 points i had swan he went ablett :( oh well was only in 2 leagues
this year and got 1 out of 2 and satisfaction against my brother.....damn riewoldt getting beaten by davis is only.........lol.....onto next year
I put GAJ ahead of Swan but still lost by 70 points, the guy had GAJ as captain too! :'(
thought i would be smart and make roo captain. lost by 70 points. any of the other big 3 and i would be premier....that sticks in the guts hard.
did win another granny by 27 points and opp had stewart on the bench who out scored 4 other forwards by 50+ each, so you win some and you lose some.
Had him as (C) but did not matter as I won 4-5 GFs by over 200pts, the one I lost he scored 2450, me 2384
Didn't matter for me. Won 1/2 GFs and the one I lost was mostly due to Enright/ Selwood
Put SWAN as C as he had done the job for me in the last month coulod not doubt him again. It was just his efficency that cost him as he had a big DT score again. If he was efficent i would think he would have been somewhere in the 130+ scores and we would probably not be talking about this.
I had a DRAW btw mainy becaise of ENRIGHT/SELWOOD/ROO/WAITE/SHAW all being in my team and opponent not having any of them and they all performed POO or did not play.

Wouldn't have made a difference for you in the leagues where you lost by 100 points. These were your two options:
Goddard (c): 102 x 2 = 204
Ablett: 176
Total: 380
or
Goddard: 102
Ablett: 176 x 2 = 352
Total 454
The difference between the 2 scores is only 74 points so you still would have lost sorry

Also I went swan captain, and my opponent went GAJ but managed to pick up the win anyway :)
I didn't have him captain, but didn't effect my result so I don't care :P
Had GAJ in 2 seperate teams, put Swan capt in one (won that by heaps anyway) and thought I would take a risk and go for Montagna.
Lost by 50 points :(..
That and I didnt really read the team sheets properly because I had an extra player not playing (that I didnt know about) and one on the bench that was playing who scored 60+.

You're maths is correct, but you are missing the other 20 players :P, so the 150 point difference would have mattered :P

No, you're wrong Nuffman. All the other players scores stayed the same, why would they change.

knew id get smashed in grandfinal so i picked goddard instead of ablett as a gamble that did not pay off. would of lost picking ablett anyways. thanks to selwood,enright,brown,mumford,hodge and didak.
i had to really think about capt choice during finals and went with god for 2 and gazza for 2 finals each. i didin't have swan so i guess my decision was easier - gazza at skilled against the weagles?? i never even questioned picking him last week
